    This is classic fraud!

The check he wrote you WILL bounce. And then you'll be on the hook for all of the money you've already spent against his check.

And you are a crook, it's theft!

You'll have knowingly stolen $1100. The law and the courts will not permit you to profit from his honest mistake. Expect to be arrested and charged.

Did it occur to you to ask yourself how you would feel if you were in his position?

Do you make it a habit to treat people the way that you want to be treated? If no, why not?

What sort of home do you come from that you have to ask such a question in the first place?

I think you will find that this is a scam. He will ask that you refund him the difference and the cheque will bounce. You will lose your item and the money. No one writes a cheque by accident with a $1100 "mistake".

If you keep it I hope sincerely he has the bill of sale that you gave him, for yes your in deep water straight away, and frankly you're guilty already in my eyes of being dishonest, you'd keep it for sure if you knew you could get away with it, so think on crook !!
