Speeding ticket in NC?
I was going down a hill, not holding down the accelerator, nor the brake. The speed limit is 35 but without knowing it my car went down the hill at 54 and the cop was sitting at the bottom of that hill. It was a complete accident, but I got pulled over. The worst part is I've only had my license for roughly a month (Not after 9's but my initial license). After reviewing some NC laws it's classified as a Class 2 misdemeanor. What should I do? And what will happen?

You do not want this violation to show up on your insurance points. Call an attorney who, for a fee of a couple of hundred dollars, plus the cost of your fine and court, can probably get this reduced to an equipment violation.

Attorneys will send you letters within a few days....call them and ask for the best option.
Cold fuse is correct....I was going 24 over and handled it through an attorney because I didn't want to make the 3 hr drive for the mandatory court appearance.

Petition the county to put a sign at the top of the hill warning drivers to watch their speed. Obviously there's no way around it, but that does sound pretty dick.
