Common App Essay Question?

For my common app essay, i basically uploaded an autobiography and called it my life story. For the essay topic i selected topic of my choice. Do you think this is okay or is it better for me to select one of their predetermined prompts.

*Also how much importance does a university give to essays when selecting a prospective student?

I think there are benefits to both options. If you choose one of their questions, you will have the benefit of comparison to other students. However, if you choose your own, you will look unique and creative, but if your question is not good, they will probably not take you seriously.

I don't think that univerisities take essays into that much consideration. If you have a good GPA and good ACT/SAT scores, you should be fine getting into any school.

Sounds waaaaaay too long. in basic terms provide them what they desire to pay attention. 2k would be a lifeless provide away you the two did no longer pay interest, won't be in a position to be concise, or attempt to annoying. communicate approximately something else, substitute what you may say, and characteristic a instructor look over it to work out what you're able to do away with. attempt no better than 3 hundred, till 250 is the cut back, then in basic terms 250!!!
