Combined Total: $1,026.91

worth it?

im upgrading from

CPU: AMD Phenom II 955 @ 3.6ghz

GPU:SAPPHIRE 100314-3L Radeon HD 6870 1GB (exact same one which is why im attracted this)

Mobo: MSI MSI 870-G45

PSU: XFX XXX edition 650 W 90 plus cert

ram: CORSAIR XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

HDD:Hitachi 500gb 7200rpm Hard drive.

now i know ill see a significant increase in performance because well im going from a 4 core to a 6 core(a 6 core that you can OC to 4.5 ghz by just changing the multiplyer nothing else, its really nice) anyway and ill be running Crossfire of coarse so thats a +. the PSU ill be using i my XFX instead of the new one(which ive done research on and its a horrible psu, but thats a small price to pay for this deal 1 bad psu, 8 great upgrades) and the SSD is hands down the biggest upgrade someone can do from HDD, so let us establish i know its a great upgrade for me...but do you think the combo deal itself is a good deal? like is it worth me spending the money for all that or do you think i can get a better deal elsewhere?

Update:

thanks for answering matt, but its "2x Crucial Ballistix 4GB (2 x 2GB)" & "AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core" is far from a phenom

unless you are reading it wrong, the second build i listed is waht i currently have and what i would be upgrade from, the top build is what im looking to buy.

Update 2:

btw i am building my own computer, this is a "Combo deal" from newegg, its a bunch of items grouped together at a discounted price for people to buy.

again the 2nd build is my CURRENT SYSTEM build, the top build with the prices is waht im looking to buy.

Update 3:

*thanks for answering matt, but its "2x Crucial Ballistix 4GB (2 x 2GB)" meaning i would get 8 gb of ram & "AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core" is far from a phenom*

It would be great if the SSD wasn't in the combo deal. I'm building a better system (i5 2400, HD 6870, 8 GB RAM) for $850, and that includes the CD/DVD drive (+20), and Windows 7 (+100).

EDIT: Also, why not recycle parts from your old build? That would save you a lot more money than any combo deal. Use the old computer's hard drive, video card, and psu, and that would save you about $300. For performance, the video card, RAM, and processor matter a lot more than the hard drive. SSD's are way too expensive right now for the limited amount of storage space.

That deal is ok, but you probably dont want to spend that kind of money. Also that particular processor is a bit old, i'd suggest building your own, similar to that and pay 20$ more for an X6 1100T and getting a bit more ram

in case you get on and stale your motorcycle for stumbling blocks and/or path paintings, a trekking teach-type MTB shoe will be suitable. Cleats on all those shoes are recessed, compared to racing/aggressive shoes, which look so a lot extra like street motorcycle shoes. Racing/comp shoes are narrower and usually stiffer, and extra intense priced, with sticking out cleats. Sandals are brilliant in case you recognize you'll *in no way* be off the course, and recognize the course is *sparkling of debris* that could want to injure your ft. My Shimano sandals are brilliant, and that i listen that prepared is making some large MTB sandals, too, with so a lot extra safe practices on your ft. As for pedal equipment, all of us is known with SPD, so that you'll always ask yet another rider to guage even in case your pedals are behaving real. that is major in case you do not recognize how they're meant to experience interior the first position. less costly pedals have a tendancy to crumble in a way that makes them not available to positioned decrease back at the same time. i take advantage of Egg Beaters by utilising Crank Bros. they're brilliant. not something sticks in them - no dirt, no timber, no bark, no snow. They always paintings. Your cleats slide into them like butter.

I don't think it is a good deal for the money. 4gb of ram and a six core phenom that is outdated. I would suggest getting an intel rig.
