Why is Barney Frank not running for another term?

It's the old take the money and run the damage is done.

I think after his everybody should share in the american dream blunder the best think he could do for this country is quit, get indited or retire. I am referring to the housing bust that he and Senator Chris Dodd pushed through congress.

He's 71 years old and has suffered from several respiratory illnesses recently. Good reasons to retire.
