Is it unreasonable to want my stylist to take her time to ensure as minimal dye gets on my skin as possible?

I have been going to the same stylist for about two years, and overall I'm happy with her performance.. There is however one thing that drives me crazy, and that is that when I get my hair colored with her; she gets dye all over me! On my ears, cheeks, neck, forehead.. Usually she doesn't even try to clean it up before the rinse unless she sees me trying to wipe it off myself. I feel like since I am at a well-known salon/spa and paying about 130 dollars for a cut and color, that I shouldn't have to settle for such sloppy work.. Is it unreasonable of me to not want to have to return home after my service and shower to scrub my scalp, face, and ears? I have mentioned to her that it bothers me in a kind chit chat when trying to get it off of me, but every time I visit her I just know that I will have to scrub when I leave.. If it isn't unreasonable is there a way that I could address it, without the complaint coming directly from me? I really like her, and I hate being negative to someone, but I'm almost to the point that I am considering going elsewhere.

hey! i am a licensed stylist. One thing i can tell you is getting a little bit of color on the hairline is impossible to avoid. However all over your cheeks and ears is just her being lazy and sloppy. Some colors tend to stick more than others to peoples skin. Red and black for instance are the 2 hardest to remove from someones skin. But we do have and should be using color remover in cases like that to remove the color from the persons skin. The color around your hairline she can not help, everything else is laziness on her part. I would politely ask her to please make sure she gets as little color on your skin as possible. Tell her you understand a little bit of color is going to happen and that's fine, but you would like her to avoid it as much as she can. Good luck

Of course not. You pay for it and you should be satisfied. Just be nice and tell her to be careful with the hair dye because it can get messy. I totally see where your coming from :)
