in what ways specifically does feminism try to "feminize men?"?

this is a quote from an answer given in this section regarding feminism...

"Feminism purports to try to make things "equal" but in reality tries to feminize men and masculinize women thereby trying to make bith genders be something that they are not."

so im wondering how do they do this? can you give examples?

    In my school, kids were forbidden from the usual rowdy schoolyard games. This, in practice, meant the girls were having fun and the boys adapted;

    Schoolsystems have been altered to more feminine-oriented methods (lots of group-projects, fewer challenges, less focus on achievements);

    Women are purposely being trained toward more assertiveness than they naturally have through programs in schools and with books and educational shows specifically aimed at this;

    etc.

    It's social engineering and it's twisted, because it's swimming upstream for everyone without reason. The results are obvious - women have been getting less and less happy since the 70's, 25% of US women are now on meds for mental issues, single moms all over the place and so forth.

    And by breaking apart the family unit, we start relying on the government to do the things we used to be able to do ourselves - training children, for example - and the government gets more power. It's a form of oppression, very subtle. And of course, government gets to tax everything.

    Solution: ignore government and be as self-sufficient as possible in as many ways as you can.

    It's the feminisation of society that is the problem, the feminisation of men is just a by-product of this. Typically 'male' behaviour has been all but outlawed in society, and as a result men have to display female traits or face discrimination, sanctions, and in extreme cases jail time.

    To see the full extent of this one would have to do a simple social experiment and have men display traits and behaviours that have become synonymous with female interaction. How likely would it be that a man would get away with murdering their own children, committing fraud, false rape claims or pepper spraying someone in the face to save $5 on an xbox? The chances would be exactly zero, but women get away with this type of disgraceful behaviour because society doesn't see this as typically 'female'.

    If there were actually standards put in place to keep female behaviour in check, rather than just a list of excuses offered up to justify childishness, selfishness and deceit, then we might actually see some progress in this area. I don't hold my breath waiting for that day...

    Well, feminist have a VERY negative view of men and masculinity. They believe that men are inherently bad and therefore need to "correct" themselves by embracing their "feminine" side. This is quiet obvious once you look at how feminists completely skewed the education system in female's favor - making it a lot more female friendly at boys' expense - and push for misandric laws/policies and special perks that give women more power over men.

    By condoning behavior that's typically and traditionally attributed to women [for whatever reasons, including gender roles], and discouraging natural behavior in boys and men.

    Notice that when I say 'discouraging natural behavior in boys and men' one [or more] Feminists would attempt to twist my words and make me accept that I am indirectly condoning "violent and aggressive behavior" in men and boys -- which I am not.

    Boy learn differently than girls in school. Most boys prefer a hands on approach to subjects, and their brains are naturally built for that, and this is a fact. Girls, on the other hand, prefer a pedantic approach to studies -- they depend mainly on rote memorization of concepts without [usually] a deeper understanding of the basics.

    Forcing boys into the study pattern that girls usually follow is usually counter-productive.

    Sigmund Freud said that 'A woman should soften but not weaken a man', and I tend to agree with this particular quote. But too often, in many relationships, women discourage any activity on the part of men that might reflect their biological differences, and hence prevent them from being their natural self.

    I don't believe it's so much that feminism is trying to "feminize men," but I do believe feminists actively try to demonize masculinity by demonizing what it means to be a man!

    How do they accomplish this? Political pressure, combined with support from a liberal media establishment, and repetition, repetition, repetition!

    People think that being "equal" means being "the same as", which is impossible to do...

    Women and men are different, men and men are different, women and women are different. You can't have "equality" within the same gender, let alone between the two.

    So, it depends on what day it is, who's asking and who's answering... Some say that if a man pays for a woman's date, she is a "feminist". Some say that if she pays for her own dates, she's a feminist.

    It'd be a miracle if they all got on the same page...they may actually accomplish something.

    I personally think feminism is more about fighting for what is in the interest of women, than it is about feminizing men, but many feminists certainly criticize traits more common to men, such as aggressiveness, talking loud, making jokes, chivalry, etc.

    Any community, state, or country that has a substantial amount of minorities will practice fairness and equality to maintain order, which leads just as surely but not deliberately plans to other categories such as gender, which then epidemically leads to reduction of masculinity of men.

    I think many men feel encumbered by the polite rules of society, and irrationally blame feminism for it. They'd love to just be as aggressive as they please, without any repercussions to their actions. (Ah, look at the answers HERE, see? Any time a man is held to a standard that women are, these people think men are being oppressed. Stop holding women to higher standards than men--THAT is equality.)

    feminism doesn't seek to feminise or masculinise, it simply offers a broader view of what it is to be human - the choice is yours
