How do you say "grooming" in Spanish? Just need help with this sentence...?
How do you say "grooming" in Spanish? on the dictionary site it just says "buena presentacion" or something, but i'm looking for the actual activity.
I want to translate this:
"Expresses distress during grooming (for example, fights or cries during haircutting, face washing, fingernail cutting)"
So i guess I could say
"Se angustia durante grooming (por ejemplo, lucha or llora al cortar el pelo, al lavarse la cara, al cortar las uñas)"
I'm not sure about the reflexive verbs for that, since maybe they won't cut their hair or nails, but they might wash their hair (it's a questionnaire for parents about their children.)
Also, should I put the "al ~verbo~" or just "cuando corta el pelo, se lava la cara..." etc.?

el ASEO verb= asear (to wash, to clean, to tidy up)
This is considered general hygiene as in your example, it includes all of it.
Se angustia durante el aseo (por ejemplo: lucha ó llora al cortarle el pelo, lavarle la cara, cortarle las uñas)
at the moment the hair is being cut (during haircutting) al cortarle el pelo
The same with the rest, we then omit "al", we only use it at the beginning of the sentence.

I am not sure about the word grooming, but I guess you could use "la limpieza" which means "the cleaning."
