Well, here is the thing. They did a public survey a couple of years back and they comprised a list of the top ten fears of most people. The number one fear was public speaking. Death was second. Therefore most people who would attend a funeral; wpuld be more afraid of giving the ulogy than being in the casket. Think about that will you?

I am atheist and i am not afraid of death at all. I think that it would suck if there was a heaven because that infers eternal existence and if you think about it, umm no thanks.

I am really interested to see what heavily religious people say, you might have linked an interesting correlation my friend.

Not of death itself, because I'm an atheist. To me, death just means I won't be here, and there's nothing to be afraid of in that. I fear a painful, or lingering death, as I would think most people do. But I don't spend much time thinking about it, to be honest.

“The wave does not need to die to become water. It is already water.”

    ― Thich Nhat Hanh

We are just a wave. The wave and the ocean are one. We see a wave as it comes ashore and we think it ends on the beach. We also know the wave is just water and goes from where it came to be a wave again.
