Is Texas hot all year round?

This is kind of like the blind guys with the elephant - it's a totally different animal depending where you touch it!

Texas is a BIG state. Currently a severe winter storm is heading into West Texas (Amarillo, Lubbock areas). It won't hit above freezing the next few days.

DFW and east is a little balmier but they see some snow.

Hill country is a little warmer, but still gets decently cold (heavy jacket) in the winter.

South Texas is a lot warmer all year, and humid.

So it really depends on where in Texas he lives!

I'm in texas and it's 9 pm and about 48 degrees outside. The days only get in the high 50s or 60s this time of year. so warm clothing would do just fine.

No. I live in Austin. It's hot or warm the majority of the year. It's just now getting down into the 30's and 40's at night, still around 60 or 70 during the day. It never gets super cold, or at least it very rarely does, but it's not super hot all year either.

I live in houston and would say about 7 months of the year is warm or hot weather. Between Late October and APril the weather is cooler around the 40's.
