How is Jesus crucifixion and resurrection a sacrifice?

So, its says in the bible that when Jesus was 12 he was told all about his future(the he would be crucified and and brought back to life). in what way is his act a sacrifice if going into it he already knew he would come back?

where exactly is the loss?

Update:

and yet you can't answer scooter. not a big surprise, its clear you have no understanding of anything.

Update 2:

Sorry kathleen, i made this question assuming christians actually read their bible. forgot most of them don't. my mistake. that being said, no one else had issues understanding it... whats that say about you?

Cops and firefighters know that any day on the job could be their last. Yet, knowing this, they willingly put their lives on the line for others.

Jesus knew, from the time Adam's sin, that a sacrifice would be required to undo what was done. the scripture he was brought up learning indicated that the sacrifice of a human equal to Adam would be required, and that a reward would be given to the one making it.

That he willingly gave up his position in heaven to be born, and live, as a human, and subsequently die, shows the amount of love he had for the human family. His sacrifice had nothing to do with losing anything. It was all about gaining. John 3:16 says that Jehovah "gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life." In order for man to gain such a life the exercising of faith in the sin redeeming power of Jesus blood is necessary. WHY did God sacrifice his son? The opening words of John 3:16 tells you. Why did Jesus allow himself to suffer and die? John 15:13 is a good indicator.

That he was resurrected was the reward for his faithful life course, and showed that NOTHING can stop Jesus' God from undoing what Satan led Adam to do.

Christ's sacrifice on the Cross accomplished the works of the Father.

    Christ;s sacrifice on the Cross is the fundamental theme of the Gospels;

It was for this purpose Jesus Christ came into the world -John 12:27

His death was prophesied thousands of years before He came to earth - Isaiah 53:3-8

Jesus' sacrifice was a ransom for man kinds sins -Matthew 20:28; Romans 3:24; 1Peter 1:18

    1John 2:2; 4:10

The reality of Jesus' resurrection -John 20:1-10; Matthew 13:39-41; Luke 24:1-7

You have never actually read any part of the Holy Bible yourself have you? Where exactly (what book, chapter and verse) do you believe the revelation you refer to is found?

This is the problem with many posters like you who try to debase the Bible. You have no actual knowledge of its contents and your are so gullible that you believe false information used by others without ever doing any actual research to see if what they told you was true.

You have a lot to learn before you try to pretend to be an intellectual on biblical matters again.

Because he was resurrected in no way removes the pain he suffered physically while being scourged, crucified, and sepparated from God.

Within the concept of Christian theology, there isn't a loss if you are dead for 3 days then return to life to be the Master of the Universe.
