I think it is great. I got a Christmas Angel this year and I bought the kid clothes and a toy it felt good to share my money with someone less fortunate. I also donated a snuggie to an elderly person angel program.

    I'm all for charity!

My church runs a food pantry, a health clinic, ESL classes, and other things to help the needy and marginalized in our community. I know they gave out turkeys to poor families for Thanksgiving. They're also planning a special Christmas surprise via the food pantry.

I don't know yet what my family might do for charity this year. In the past we've answered Santa letters, which can be picked up at the U.S. Post Office at W. 33rd Street and Eighth Avenue, NYC.

My youth group adopted a very needy family for christmas. We are taking donations from the people of the church and buying things for them.

Don't trust Salvation Army. Those greedy scumbags wouldn't help my Aunt when she was homeless, jobless and had a abusive alcohlic boyfriend. They don't help people who really need but rather help alcoholics and drugs addicts and lazy people who don't even try and make a difference. What is sad he went down the same road as her but they help him and not her and he is a alcoholic and pain pill addict and she isn't.
