Questions about a Roku?

Hiya :)

I'm looking at buying a roku 2, but I'm slightly confused.

What is the point of one? I have wireless internet but I do not subscribe to Netflix or Hulu Plus...

Do I need to subscribe to a site to make the roku worth it? I'm not looking to have a monthly fee.

Thanks :)

Emm

Actually Roku is a excellent device. It is basically for HDTV televisions that do not have streaming content like netflix, pandora, hulu plus etc. that you want to watch movies or listen to radio stations. Roku has over 50 channels that you watch for free. Basically you would need a wireless router, DSL or Cable internet. The Roku device connects to your HDTV and streams wirelessly all the content to your television without monthly fees. Of course with Netflix you still need a monthly plan.
