I have played Saxophone for 5 years and Piano for 3, *our band just won district, yay!* I am currently interested in setting up household aquariums, and trying to learn all thats possible about them... I am a high school student, plan on going to school later on for culinary arts though. I also have taken horseback riding lessons, and learned to take care of them... :-D

  • Questions about a Roku?

    Hiya :)

I'm looking at buying a roku 2, but I'm slightly confused.

What is the point of one? I have wireless internet but I do not subscribe to Netflix or Hulu Plus...

Do I need to subscribe to a site to make the roku worth it? I'm not looking to have a monthly fee.

    Thanks :)

  • How to get better tv reception with Charter?

So, We got cable today for the first time in almost 20 years.

We signed up with charter because that is all that we can get where we live. We signed up for Basic cable.

We get the food network channel, but it is fuzzy. The sound comes in perfect, and the picture is almost there, but just bad enough that it's annoying. Will rabbit ears work? Is there anything else we could try? (We have a vizio tv if that means anything)

    Thanks for your time :)

  • Does Lg Chocolate touch on verizon still require a data package?

    Hello :)

So i have talked with like 5 people about this, and continue to get differing results....

I have a Lg Chocolate Touch that i am trying to sell to my friend. I have always had a data package, but she can't afford one.

Can anyone tell me if you have to have the $10 data package still? Because i know that verizon went through and changed much of the requirements for their data plans. Thanks

  • How long till i can dye my hair again after using Natural Instincts?

So i am trying to dye the bottom layer of my hair darker, while keeping the top half my natural color. My mom dyed the bottom half of it yesterday, and since i was afraid of going to dark, i ended up not choosing a dark enough dye. You really can't tell the difference other than it covered up some natural highlights (which was fine)

So, how long untill i can dye it again?

  • Causes of pupil dialation?

    Hello :)

We have recently be noticing that my pupils are rather dialated much of the time. I have very fair blue eyes (not sure if that makes any difference, but i read somewhere that blue eyes are much more sensitive to light). I have not been taking any medication or anything of the sort.

We first noticed a slight abormalty about 2 years ago when i would go to the chiropractor, my eyes would be extremely dialated, whether outdoors in bright light or indoors. But i stopped going to the chiropractor and didn't really pay much attention afterwards.

Now after having my school pictures taken, we noticed how dialated they were. They were taken in a fairly lit room and it was my second take with the flash. Logic would show that they should be small, but instead they were so large that you couldn't tell what color my iris are....

So, what are some possibilities? and if this is a defect, what are some possible "cures" my doctor will suggest (i am planning a eye doc visit next week)

Other than being sensitive to light, i have never really notice any problem...

    Thanks :D

  • Anyone know anything about/or use Gimp for photo editing?

Hello :) So i am looking for a free downloadable alternative to photoshop.

I really don't know whether i am hard-core about photography editing and such so before i go out and buy a program for hundreds of dollars, i would like a good but free one to test my seriousness.

I have looked it up, and many places seem to like Gimp. Has anyone used this? Can anyone verify that i can download it risk free? (no virus?)

    THANKS

  • How do i break this to them?

So, i have been born and raised in a VERY strict christian family. My dad is the equivilant of a minster or preacher, though this church uses a different term. The problem is that i do not believe in this faith. i am currently 17 and realize that while i live in their house, they have the right to require me to attend the meetings.

The problem i am running into, is that i do not believe in their faith.... at all. I am unsure of what exactly i believe, but this isn't it. The people in the church are great, and their are some things that i do think is good, but as a whole, it is not something i want to be a part of. I have told them before, but they just try to shove it at me harder and/or tell me that i am mad at god for something or other.

Today my mom has told me that if i were to marry someone not of the faith, she wouldn't attend my wedding (im only 17, so not looking into getting married anytime soon, but that seemed a little drastic). Both of my brothers also left the faith, and on more than one occasion i have heard my father say that my brothers are dead to him.

Another problem i am running into, is that in this church, you are not supposed to be close friends with, or especially date, anyone who is not of the faith. I have started dating my best friend of 3 years, but who i have known for 6. I am afraid that when the time comes to tell them that i do not want to be part of the faith they will blame it all on him, which is not true. Sure, their attitude to him does add to the distaste for this church, but its not the reason why I am leaving.

So my question to you is,

How do you think the best way to go about doing this is? I feel that I would like to tell them right before i move out, but im not sure that is fair... but i also don't want to be around to hear how much i disappoint them.... any ideas?

    Hey :)

So i am looking to find some new ideas for lunches to go. They need to be low cal (maybe 400 calories and under), healthy, and contain no or little gluten (no allergies, just being careful) and preferably no red meat.

Thank you :) I will have a fridge and a microwave available to heat things up. Just looking for some new ideas.

  • Is there still a demand for travel agent?

    Hello :)

So i am currently trying to figure out my career and what i want to do for the future and such (i'm a highschool senior right now)

I have come to realize that i LOVE traveling and finding places to stay and planning vacations, many that i won't be able to actually go on....

I was thinking that become a travel agent would be a great career, but since the internet is so big now and pretty much everyone can use it, my question is, do people still actually use travel agents?
