GPS Map My Run VS Internet Manually Inputted Map my run?
NOTE: If you're unfamilar about the website MapMyRun.com ; please do not answer
I'm curious if a GPS run based Map my run on my cell while I run is more /and or/ less Accurate than when I come home, and manually input bit by bit the run that I do on the computer.
You're input....reason I ask is anytime I take my cell phone and do it GPS style I'm usually higher mileage and at times a whole half mile more...which to me is a big deal in my psychotic addicted nature method of running.
Cheers!

Go with the GPS.
Just don't share your route with anyone other than a few close contacts so we can watch.
For your safety, of course.

Map My Run, or in my case Map My Ride basically
inputs straight line from your clicks on the map online.
Your GPS phone on the other hand will track your actual movements
which deviate from the straight line you put in on Map My Run.
So the numbers you get on your phone are probably more accurate.
They appear a lot closer on the bike because the rides are longer.
So continue being psychotic and use the larger number.
Its part of your charm.
and yes, I know its not Map My Run but Map My Ride is pretty close doncha think?
