1. Honus Wagner.
# 2. Arky Vaughn, The man was a flat out offensive force and still was an above average fielding shortstop
# 3. Cal Ripken, Jr. Had a fantastic throwing arm although it is not much discussed. All the blah blah about being an iron man gets in the way.
# 4.Barry Larkin. I consider him as seriously under rated.
# 5. Ernie Banks. When he played shortstop. As a first basemen, he was only average.
Add observations about shortstops. Best fielding shortstop of all time was Ozzie Smith!
