Hi, you don't need to be doing all those extra activities. My boyfriend is going to UCSB, he is a second year. In high school he was only in 2 clubs and was president of one of those. The rest of the time he spend on studying and got pretty much straight A's his senior year, his junior year he had some B's in there as well. So no you should not be stressing out so much about all that extra stuff and put more time so that you get good grades. He also applies for UCLA, UCSD and UCSB and got accepted into all of them but chose to go to UCSB. I hope this helps and good luck :)

When you tour colleges and talk with admissions people one of the biggest things they emphasize is quality and duration, not quantity. It's great that you are clearly very active in band and orchestra as well as TaeKwonDo, keep that up. As for all the other volunteering, keep doing them if you enjoy them, but you'd be better off doing a few things that you enjoy, and dedicating your time to them, rather than burning yourself out trying to do 800 things

I think is enough but if your trying to get out faster from HS you need an special test that your school give you as exit level or something like that but that's a lot boy I just put my military service and I'm about to graduate and lots of colleges get people with this :) hopefully I get accepted for the one I want
