How can I prevent my headaches?

I've recently figured out that my part-time job is giving me migraines. It's a combination of the many different fragrances in the store as well as the apron I wear. The apron is part of my uniform and I can't avoid the fragrances. Is there any way you can thing of (besides my regular visits to a chiropractor) that can prevent or at least lessen my migraines without medications?

And yes, I already know from experience that the medications prescribed by neurologists don't work for me as I've tried them all with no success.

There isn't any way to prevent from ever having a headache again (it would be nice though)! But take some Excedrin Tension headache medicine before you go to bed. Also, it could very well be allergies that are making you hurt. If the headache medicine doesn't help then take some allergy medicine. That will help! Good Luck!

Could be a combination of fragrances and the apron. I used to get mild headaches from wearing an apron that had a loop that went around the back of my neck. When I changed it to one with over the shoulder straps the headaches stopped. I felt, and was told, the loop could have had an irritating effect hence the headaches.

get ALL the food dyes OUT of your diet. They increase sensitivity to allergies. Also switch from grain bread to potato bread, and stop eating nuts.

You should join another job and don't think too much or deeply about your smell as well as dot't be so much sensitive.
