Question about Scopes for Pistols?
I'm looking to gift a scope for a Walther P22 Automatic but I'm unsure as to what I need, where I should look, etc. If someone could recommend brands, sizes, models, anything to point me in the right direction I'd be thrilled. Thanks!

I get the feeling you're going to be spending a lot more than you bargained for. Looks like you're going to have to get a scope mount, which will cost between $20-40, and then the actual scope, which will cost a good bit for a decent one.
Did the person ask for a scope? If so, I would suggest getting them a prepaid Visa gift card with about $100 on it, for several reasons.
1) A scope on a P22 is going to unbalance the gun to the point of making it barely functional.
2) You're stuck having to order the parts from the internet, unless a local gun shop in your area can get you what you need.
3) A P22 won't shoot far enough to need a scope. A red dot sight of some sort, maybe, but a scope is simply excessive.

Okay, the Walther P22 pistol is designed to take a laser sight under the barrel. To mount a scope on top would require a TON of extra work and expense.
This is an inexpensive one but will be fun for the casual shooter

for about $100 Walther makes a laser specifically for the Walther P22, it fits on exactly and is very smooth and fitted to the walther P22's shape

you don't really want a "scope", what you want is a red dot sight. You don't need an expensive one for a .22. Tasco would be fine.

Try looking asking at your local gun store. Anything could help, the only thing I know about guns Is from Call of Duty.
