Here is the Conclusion to "The Mission". For those who will join me, thank you.?
I shortened this up. Decided to wrap it up. It is never to late to make a wrong a right, or to make Amends. To Dad, I am sorry. I hope you are up there in heaven and know how sorry I am that you were disappointed in me, but I hope you are now proud that I did the right thing. You were a great Dad. I just decided to do something wrong. I love you. Bri

Excellent poetry! You kept the rhythm and rhyme going consistently, or it feels consistent when I read it, and great imagery.
Very good story. The mistakes of our youth sometimes do follow us as if we are being haunted by then, but you've taken the honorable stance and returned the flag. It was just a youthful folly, and your dad was disappointed in you. That is in the past, and like others, I think he is smiling down on you and feels great pride for your actions. For returning the flag and your poetic confession.
A superbly written poem in which we all participate. That's one of the marks of a good poet, Bri, that when it is concluded you have made people remember their own lives. It is universal because we all created folly in our youth.

I have my own type of writing as you can tell...we are different in that aspect. I like this one a lot though. probably the best one I've read. The others didn't really give me a picture in my mind when I read. You know? This did. I really like it Bri. Good job!

So, Mr. Tennis Star, you were one of the three who absconded with the flag only to return it 35 years later. Good for you and I am sure you Dad is smiling looking down.

to bri, your dad would never have been disappointed in you bri. disappointed perhaps in a childish prank but never in you. i am sure he is proud of the man his son has become and just shakes his head at your teenage antics.

A fitting, well written conclusion.
You kept it concise, chose the important
voices and worded them beautifully.
You leave us with optimism, on a positive note
You lifted our thoughts in a subtle, gifted way
Congratulations to you.

fascinating....nice job and good on ya. My brother and I excelled at 'capture the flag' back in the sandy, sunny days of summer camp.
