God is first. Mankind is second. I am third. I live by faith in God and in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I edit and critique because of the years of training and education I've had. Bachelor in Science Computer Information and Minor in English. I am an editor, writer, poet and artist. I take requests and post them here. I've done a lot of technical writing; and in tech writing it is imperative that every acronym be explained at least once. So, if you use an acronym, I may suggest in my answer that you provide an explanation about it. It is not meant as an insult, it is simply my tech background talking. Above everything else is my great love and gratitude to God, the awesome creator, and Jesus Christ, my Lord & Savior. I have been sealed through the gift of the Holy Spirit, & keep a short leash on my sins. Pray for forgiveness for me and others that I may have sinned against. I always live in faith. Lonely Love

In the nether regions of yesterday
The salt wind blow crystals of icy spray.
I walk along the cliffs on the lea side
Chilled to the marrow lengthening my stride
I remember the touch of bluish lips
So cold they hurt as lust makes my heart flip
In the down of the deep feathery bed
Like lovers we celebrate we're not wed
You ask, I answer, too many times now
Your wife, my husband behind secret's bough
Pretend they don't know we'll always be one
A soul split in half until day is done
My eyes close seeing beyond tomorrow
The joy of living without the sorrow.
6 AnswersPoetry7 years agoAny reason that I cannot open my Classic email folders?
This began recently.
I've contacted Yahoo twice, which means they have not ever responded and probably never will. I pay for my account, which helps block SPAM.
I see there are over 800 unread messages in various folders, but I cannot open any of them. Many of these are in the SPAM folder, but I cannot delete the messages either.
All help is greatly appreciated.

Caught
in the stillness
of a silent moment.
I cannot break
my gaze;
seeing far
beyond the blank wall,
history is
written on the air.
Crying
slipped and fell
split my eyelid open
blood everywhere
head wounds
bleed so badly.
Giggling
so many presents
under the tree,
“lass, he came”
wonderment in a
child’s voice
touching
a doll as tall

All the yesterdays
flicker by

happy, sad
laughter, sorrow
moments cherished

Tomorrow

20 AnswersPoetry9 years agoIs this a typical reaction to Amox TR-CLV 875-125 MG tablets?
This is an antibiotic. Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid is a penicillin-type antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_side_effects...
I've taken Amoxicillin without any problems. I just started this pill and can barely stay awake to write this question. Also I itch everywhere. I've only taken one of the two prescribed for the day. My eyes keep closing.
I had an anaphylectic reaction to an antibiotic many years ago and it started this way.
All information and suggestions are highly valued.
Thanks.

It's so easy to glide
through the valley
of dreams with you.
Your feet rarely
touch the ground
as you run,
your face lifted
to the sun or clouds,
or simply to feel
the moist breeze.
Then you tumble;
yes, I will be there
to help you
out of shadows,
bushes, or even the
misplaced azure creek.
You fit so easily
into my life;
you cover me
like skin; I think it
is where you live
when I slip on the soft
pink leather gloves
you found for me last year,
or was it a decade ago?
No matter; each night
I slide between
bold red percale sheets,
your choice, of course.
You said they made
it easier to find
me when I drift
into my dreams.
You are my sanity,
my reality;
perhaps you await me
when I can slip through
the mist covering life.

How odd, I thought when I saw the poem was gone.
It was up for two weeks, resolved with a best answer and poof--it was gone. At least I received the critiques I sought to improve the poem, but this is the first time something like this has happened to me and I am stunned. Not upset, just shocked.
Is there a way to find out what happened?

She

She looks upon the world,
but does not see
hateful crimes stealing life,
love, money, family.
She sees colors of life
with each vision
that crosses her view;
free of humanity's waste.
The golden glow of a waning sun
slipping below the horizon
as stars twinkle in the east
with the slightly visible crescent moon.
She hears the color coded leaves
blowing in the winds as season
changes caress her skin
and touch her heart and soul.
Listening to the melody of the night
sensations stir and she writes
of the beauty that is hidden
to Earth's wretched minions.

Dying rivers wash thick muddy
earth across once fertile land,
arid air cooks the clay
denying it the sun and wind
letting it go for eons -- to heal
angry seas poured salt water until
nothing could grow. No food,
dry rivers, no water, no life.

Destiny

My beloved leaves me.
I am trapped yet
he will travel,
settle far away,
await my arrival.
Will distance change
the amazement
I saw in his eyes
as he knew our future
was to be one?
A day, a month, years
the time passes slowly
then rapidly as life
rushes at both of us.
But I recall my
beloved, the boy
of my youthful
days of folly.
I wonder, will fate,
wild and wily,
unite us when
the season of
our separation ends.
Each time we try
to bring ourselves
together, you alchemist
you, interfere.
Destiny, unite us!
We had mere days
to know we were
meant to be
joined always.
Perhaps we are connected
by the memory alone.

17 AnswersPoetry9 years agoWill you c/c on this first draft poem called The Greatest Love?
It has been very long since I have written anything.
The Greatest Love (first draft)
by Victoria Tarrani
© 201203.07
No love compares to yours.
My heart lit with flames when we met.
I was studying The Word at that moment.
I said come into my heart my life is yours.
Please forgive my sins--those
I committed and those I shrugged off
not helping a person in need.
I forgive all who have brought me pain
in order to receive you.
I love you more each day
your Holy Spirit resides in me.
God within me with all the power
to heal and change as you wish.
Just three months ago, you saved
my life. My soul has always been yours.
If I waited and not gone to the hospital,
disobeyed you,
then in two more days I would die,
but you nudged me to go.
I would be dead without your nudge.
How can my love for any man,
woman, child or baby
compare to the greatest love
I will ever know.
It is your love for me, my Lord
my Savior, my God.
There is but one God,
and His love is enough
for the whole world.
In the beginning the Word was with God
the Word was God ... murdered on
a Roman Cross by God's people ...
You said, if I do not leave you,
I cannot send the comforter.
I am here when you want me.
I want to come home.
I've been there twice
and never wanted to leave,
but I tumbled through the
tunnel of faces and fell
into my body. I longed to
return; I still try.
I understand I am to share what I know
"There is life on the other side of the veil.”

17 AnswersPoetry9 years agoWill you let me know if you have a poem you want me to answer?
I will do my best to get to your work. It's just hard right now.
I've been ill. If you want me to answer your poem, please send me a message through my profile page letting me know. I try to get on line at least once a day. I'm on the mend, but have to get 18 more injection drips of Iron Dextran and about 8 cardio/pulmonary tests done over the next few weeks. I'd appreciate all prayers for healing.
But the good news is I went into the hospital at the right moment. Hemoglobin at 5.5 is just above 5.0 where your heart stops. I was told organs were shutting down. But that young stud blood they gave me brought it up and me too. So, if you are anemic, it's nothing to let just let go on and on. 2 weeks ago I was 10.9, slightly below 11-13 range, and something I pondered. But ... I should have gone in to have my blood checked again.
Good health to all of you.

When you ask a question, click on EDIT, there you will find "Extend Deadline".
It makes it easier for those of us who do not get to YAP daily to participate.
I hope you will leave them up. I've had several answers come in after the normal period would have expired.
I'll be away from a computer for many days and would like to catch up when I return.

Two-headed Coin
by Victoria Tarrani
© 201112.30
Reason and doubt, two sides of the same coin
for reason provides justification.
It is the cause why one leaves then rejoins
the jolly group enjoying vacation.
Sometimes it is good to be on ones own
to analyze and calculate the truth
for unclouded thoughts while one is alone
build up courage for travel through ones youth.
Coherent and logical is the path
to systematically define ones life
but wavering in doubt sets up the wrath
that transforms the outcome from joy to strife.
Doubting reality brings fantasy
and hesitation stops further changes
life may go beyond lawful boundaries
while rules lay broken, there are no places.
Where is there to go when nothing makes sense?
Uncertain, no opinion or belief
whereas logic would provide good defense
joy replaces questions; feel pure relief.
