Any reason that I cannot open my Classic email folders?

This began recently.

I've contacted Yahoo twice, which means they have not ever responded and probably never will. I pay for my account, which helps block SPAM.

I see there are over 800 unread messages in various folders, but I cannot open any of them. Many of these are in the SPAM folder, but I cannot delete the messages either.

All help is greatly appreciated.

.

Update:

Could it possibly be acting up because I access it from my telephone and my iPad and my PC?

Each uses a different browser.

Has anyone else had problems lately. I recall a similar event occurred when people switched to New Mail; they could not get into their folders.

I really need help.

Yes, it is possible that by using your phone and iPad you could be complicating things, but opening mail in different browsers should not be a problem. I just checked my Classic free account, and could open and delete mail in all folders (Except deletion from My Photos and My Attachments - have to delete the stored mail first!) No real problems on any main browser - Chrome is my usual.) I don't use my phone or own an iPad.

Try clicking for the desktop version of mail on your phone in case that is better. Also, clicking Ctrl + Shift + Delete together on either device should delete the cache, history and cookies all at once to help any mail work more smoothly.

Then, if that doesn't help, try Yahoo! Customer Service, USA (Pacific Standard Time)

1-866-562-7219, 1-800-318-0631, or better yet, Personal Email: 1-866-492-4664

(It's less known, with more chance to talk to a Yahoo rep, but there's a small fee to use it)

I have always received e-mail back from the customer service e-mail address, within days, but sometimes it took a couple of mails to solve my problems - the first response is usually 'canned' - check your Spam folder (if you can open it!)

The E-Mail address for Yahoo! Customer Care is: <cc-advoc@yahoo-inc.com> or

mail@cc.yahoo-inc.com. Change the links to your own country ending if the account is not from the US. Use your alternate e-mail address (not a Yahoo one, of course) as the contact address.

I hunted through all my files trying to help you, so I hope this helps. I've heard of this problem with the new regular mail, but never with Classic - I hope Mail Plus (paid version) isn't too different.

I suppose an anti-virus scan would be logical, but I don't think that is the issue.

This is another long answer, but you e-mailed me for help. I hope it works!

In Mozilla Firefox I'm having trouble opening my email so it must need upgrading. In Internet Explorer I don't have that problem. Try another browser and see if that helps.
