What is it gonna take for Roy Jones Jr. to understand that he is done?

I know not too many of you gave a rats @zz about the legendary RJJ fighting this week. Watching the replay I was like oh daaaaaaammmmn. Where din RJJ train? burger king or something? And this guy he was fighting? He looked like some bouncer in a tittie bar who had too much beer to drink. It was really pathetic. The fight itself? Much more! It was nothing reminiscent of the RJJ we knew. Not even close to the RJJ we saw lose to calzaghe and I dont mean that in a good way. This was a fight youd wanna see in a parking lot of a bar or something.

After the fight he said he wanted a world title at cruiser weight. Is he serious? Just what in his performance thinks that he is a world title contender? I mean I will not pay to see him fight the way he is now period. And I was even shocked to find out that he fought a guy who hasnt won any of his last 6 fights

This is really embarrassing. No great champion should ever take a fight like this. Its just pathetic. Just what is it gonna take for RJJ to hang it up? Is he waiting to die in the ring or something?

Another brutal knockout. The fact of the matter is this, as long as Roy has people around him feeding into his LARGE ego, he will continue to fight and by the time he finally does realize he shouldn't be fighting anymore it will be too late because the damage is already done and begun.

It's gotta be hard to leave the thing you've loved for 30+ years. I don't want to see RJJ fight anymore, but if he wants to keep going because he loves the sport, and the competition, than by all means he should continue.

We all know his reign as one of the best in the world is over, and Roy by fighting a guy like this, he knows he's not an elite fighter any more, but it doesn't mean he has to quit.

Unfortunately there are lots of promoters who will continue to set up fights for people that are way over the hill and can not give it up.

He needs to retire, or at least someone in the licensing agency needs to refuse to allow Roy and others like him to continue to damage their health.

I am afraid that he will continue to fight as long as he can get a fight.

I use to love watching Jones fight, but just like many great fighters in the past his ego won't let him see the truth. He will have to get a severe beat down before that happens.
