We are watching a movie about GHB and my husband said that he had heard that crystal meth and GHB were the same thing. I told him that I didn't agree. Is it?

The two are completely different things. GHB (also known as the date rape drug) is something that makes the heart slow, while Crystal Meth ( a stimulant) speeds up the heart rate. GHB is found in pill form while Crystal Meth is a powder. I don't understand how these could be mistaken as the same thing. If they were the same, there would be no necessity to give them different names now would there?
