Why use CCleaner it creates more problems then its worth.?

There is nothing wrong with ccleaner it's safe to use and clean up junk files, two registry cleaners i would tell people not to use is regcure and easy cleaner, both of these will corrupt your registry also i like the registry option in ccleaner to clean the registry of old files and if i uninstall a program or update it also clean up the old files , agree with the first answer, messing around in the registry and don't know what you doing the pc will not start or a lot of errors when running it.

Most people should stay completely out of windows registry editor regedit.

Ccleaner does not do any harm to a computer. Every computer should have Ccleaner installed in it. Anyone that knows anything about computers knows that. If you were born on the dark side of the moon, then you must still live there. Every time you go on a web site you accumulate junk, trash, ad/ware tracking cookies and such. Ccleaner removes that, and does no harm. These so called Reg cleaners is what causes all the harm.

Some people are not good with computers as you seem to be. So they use the most popular and most simple ways of doing that still gets the job done with no complaints.

Also having noobs poke around in regestry is a recipe for disaster.

Well ccleaner is primarily a junk(crap) cleaner hence the name, it's registry cleaner shouldnt really cause any problems, i must admit i use uniblue or auslogics myself, bit either way its not a bad tool at all. Restoring a backup registry can cause nightmares with anything you done since, best just give it a clean up. Ive seen these posts many times and are from people who know very little!

Basically the same reason you change oil in your car. It's good preventive maintenance.

Easier, faster and cheaper than overhauling an engine, or manually editing your registry.

Putting fresh oil in a blown engine doesn't fix it. CCleaner can only do so much. That doesn't make them bad for the engine or registry.
