Will running after lifting weights prevent me from gaining muscle?

After I lift weights I run for about 20 minutes (1-1.5 miles) and i do this every other day. I've heard that this can make you lose muscle, but wasn't sure if it was true.

    yup if your going to lift just lift for that day seperate your cardio workouts for diffrent days
