If your daughter has a kind of masculine name, would it be best to give her a really feminine middle name?

As the title says.

Update:

I'm not pregnant, I'm only 14. Just wondering.

I was thinking, I love the name Aidenn, but hate it on a boy.

For me personally, Aidenn can be feminine but a lot wouldn't see it that way.

You could name a girl Aidenn, but she'd have to have a very girly middle name for it to work..

Update 2:

sigh. I never actually stated that I would name my future child 'Aidenn'

I only hope that I do not have a girl, I want boys more than anything.

I was just curious..

Aiden is a boys name. No, spelling it wrong doesn't make it feminine.

It doesn't make the slightest difference what her middle name is because once she's more than about 3 weeks old nobody will ever ask what it is again. When's the last time you told anyone what _your_ middle name was?

If your wanting to give a girl a really masculine name I do not see any point in giving her a very feminine middle name as the middle name is hardly seen or heard. No point.

To me Aiden is not feminine no matter how you spell it. It's adorable on a boy, I love it<3

Please just give your future daughter a feminine name...

Edit: I know you never said you were but that still doesn't change anything. Even if you had a girl...(in future) give her a girl name and name a son Aiden. (if you love the name)

  • No, you can give her the most feminine middle name in the world and it still won't make Aidan work on a girl. Using a trashy spelling will never make Aidan a girls name either. Aidan has and will always be masculine. It's awful on girls.

I'd have to know the names first, but if you're worry about it being too masculine,

Why don't you name her something less masculine?

Personally, I think you can easily do a feminine 1st name, a bit masculine middle name.

    Good luck!

  • Adriana is sorta like the female version of Aidan. It's like naming a girl Jordan or Addison or Logan... way to manly. I really hate how ppl are using boy names for girls. It started with Ashley and it's yet to stop. Good grief. However I think it would depend on the name combo

I would never give a girl such a masculine name as 'Aiden'. If I liked the sound of the name then maybe 'Eden'.

I'd never use a masculine name on a girl to begin with, so this would never be an issue.

  • i personally hate aidenn for a girl

hows a feminine middle name going to change the fact that she is going to have a mans name?

I know this isn't "super feminine" but I love the sound of Aidenn Skye

It just sounds so elegant and pure for a girl.

I'd just name my daughter a straight up girl's name.

Not unisex, because chances are those are masculine.
