Christians - What do you think of the LHC & Higgs Boson particle? (Atheists too!)?

You're surely aware that it re creates the conditions that were present about a billionth of a second after the Big Bang (which is the most widely accepted and plausible of the theories as to how the universe as we know it exists). What do you think about it? Any comments?

Also, atheists, what do you think the Christians will think about it?

Update:

? - The big bang theory is at odds with the Christian Creation theory, they think God did it, Science disagrees. Therefore it does have some bearing on religious matters.

Update 2:

2nd answerer - Who's assuming all Christians reject science? I don't see that even so much as implied in my question. All I asked was what Christians make of all this. Now who's making assumptions?

Update 3:

God Is My Salvation - How do you know that then? Anything to back up your unfounded claims there? There is a plethora of supporting evidence for the big bang theory, but none what so ever for your God/Creation idea? How do you justify your claims?

It's a great step in the development of our understanding of the universe.. but it has nothing to do with religion and spirituality

EDIT: A rapidly diminishing handful of literal creationists do not think the bing bang was part of Gods chosen method of creation, but the LHC has nothing to do with this. The LHC does not even prove or disprove the big bang. Some scientists label the conditions created as 'like just after the big bang' but it has no bearing on the literal creationism vs naturalistic creationism debate.

I think the LHC is awesome, if they find out that the Higgs exists that will be great for physics but if they don't that will shake up all of the accepted models and ultimately also be great for physics.

    It's a win win!

there is not any indication of sabotage. And if there have been, i could extra suspect the tin-foil hat crowd that thinks it is going to create a black hollow and swallow the earth. CERN is desperate to restart in september. The tevatron has taken great factor approximately cern's downtime to beef themselves as much as the factor that it is estimated to be a tossup as to if tevatron or cern is first to accomplish a higgs seek. The higgs bosun is a envisioned quantum particle that supplies remember its mass. If discovered, we could finally have a stable answer to supply each and every of the morons working around here who ask "properly the place did the capability come from that created all this from no longer something?"

I think that it is a huge step forward in discovering the secrets of the birth of the universe. I'm looking forward to finding more about the first seconds after the Big Bang. By the way, I am a Christian and assuming that all Christians reject science is an assumption. And we all know what an assumption is, don't we? Yes, exactly, it's the mother of all those.

I hope they find the damn thing, because if they don't, and the standard model is wrong, and they have to start over from scratch and the last 100 years of physics knowledge goes in the bin, then we'll NEVER get interstellar travel, I was kinda hoping that would happen in my lifetime.

The gravity is the soul of matter. If God wished to inform a bit, he will!

Similar to detection of dark matter and dark energy around us. Actually no way.

They ask thee concerning the Spirit. Say: "The Spirit is of the command of my Lord: of knowledge it is only a little that is given to you"

The big Bang theory or explanation about the beginning of the universe does not contradict the Bible. Isaiah 20:25,26 says  “But to whom can YOU people liken me so that I should be made his equal?” says the Holy One. Raise YOUR eyes high up and see. Who has created these things? It is the One who is bringing forth the army of them even by number, all of whom he calls even by name. Due to the abundance of dynamic energy, he also being vigorous in power, not one [of them] is missing.

    Recent progress is awesome.

When they finally find it it will be beyond exciting.

Another little piece to the unified theory.

its a bunch of science fiction

its not true the big bang never happened

its a theory nothing more no fact to it
