This sort of complication from vaccination is extremely rare and of course the disease it prevents is far more likely to cause it. Vaccines activate the immune system, so it's hardly surprising that the side effects are generally the result of the immune system doing something.

I've actually seen patients with cytokine storm in ICU. It's challenging for even the most skilled physicians to manage; nosey thinks it can be resolved with elderberry. GTFO

DDT is distinct from Polio. Polio is caused by the polio virus.

Except it didn't. The Polio vaccine was invented in 52, and by '62 the cases of Polio had plummeted worldwide. DDT wasn't banned in the US until '72. Time line don't match, nosey-poos.

So, stop the pyrogens from activating a systemic response? That would require preventing them from getting to the hypothalamus.

The problem with this is, we have lots of drugs that reduce inflammation. That severely affects the immune response. True, those are globally acting, but it does suggest the possibility that systemic inflammation is important for a good immune response. If you could do this, it could very well make a vaccine worthless.

It's not an easy thing to test either.

A lot of diseases actually kill you due to over-activating the immune system. Look up cytokine storms. Our immune system offs us as often as the actual pathogen does. There are a lot of cool and terrifying examples of this.

In reality, a lot of the vaccines that rarely cause neurological issues are live virus, like MMR. These have no adjuvants. At all.

Getting the real stats. on vaccine adverse reactions is difficult because over 80% (gov't. estimate) go unreported. MDs and Vets can't be bothered filling out the paperwork. Fact is that no independent peer-reviewed studies have ever been conducted on vaccines and it's based on very shaky pseudoscientific theory. If you investigate the history of vaccination you'll find plenty of scientists were totally opposed to it.

It's not the DNA fragments in vaccines that cause neurological problems, it's the toxicity of the adjuvants. Manufacturers of vaccines have recently been exposed to have lied about the "mercury-free" bit... Claiming that it's an inflammatory immune response is pretty lame.

Those DNA fragments which can be contaminated with all sorts of other junk lead to chronic disease later in life. They don't cause immediate damage.
