How do I improve my chances of being accepted into Air Force OCS?

Question

I've already graduated college and got my degree, but during that time my work ethic was not something I'm proud of.  As a result, my GPA is pretty poor.  Is there anything else I can do to increase my chances of being admitted to OCS or should I consider enlistment and try to work my way up from within?

First of all OCS is marines, OTS is air force

secondly, it's really something you need to talk to an officer recruiter about, there are minimum GPA requirements though

rated: 2.8
technical: 2.8
non-technical: 3.0

your degree is weighted too for instance my degree was in biology so my GPA of 3.0 is considered on par with someone who has say a 3.5 in liberal arts (im really just making up numbers but they do weigh technical degrees)

also if you do very well on the AFOQT like I did, a poor GPA isn't the end of the world

my scores were

Pilot: 92
Navigator: 97
Academic Aptitude: 99
Verbal: 96
Quantitative: 99

so my application became very competative

the application is a compilation of your resume, letters of recommendation, GPA, and AFOQT scores

talk to a recruiter and they wont steer you wrong, there is no reason to be afraid, I applied about half a year ago and the board is just starting to convene for the new fiscal year

I wouldn't listen to jeeper, it really depends on your degree, plus my recruiter was voted the best enlisted and officer recruiter on the east coast for several years in a row, so I am pretty sure her standards are high

Very few enlisted are accepted to OTS. Graduate School students can commission through Afrotc. 
"has two academic years remaining in a degree program (undergraduate, graduate or combination of both)"

That is  your best chance of becoming an Air Force Officer due to your undergrad Gpa. All graduate students are considered independent by Fafsa for financial aid purposes, so the parent's income and assets are not considered when making a financial aid offer. In the three year program, can dual enroll in the freshman and sophomore year Afrotc courses.

If your GPA is not 3.5+, they will not even let you apply for OTS

There is no working your way up

If you enlist, you still have to apply for OTS later on and your poor grades , will still be poor grades and make you non competitive.

Right now, competitive GPA for each service branch is :

Army - 2.5+
Air Force - 3.5+
Navy - 3.5+
Marine Corps - 3.0+
