Is there a way to flirt with adults in customer service jobs?

I'm single and new to town. Some of the only interesting women I meet are working at the stores where I shop. I don't want to be the creepy guy that hits on the cashier, or that comes in every day hoping she will talk tome. Is there any great tactic for getting a woman's attention when she's at work enough to gauge her possible interest?

If it helps at all. She works at a book store.

a book store is perfect! ask for reccomendations! then discuss your favorites and her favorites. then when you come back you can tell her what you did and didnt like about it and all that.

I agree with swimchik. A bookstore is as casual an atmosphere as you can get (next to coffee shops). Try to see if she's not busy, then strike up a conversation. Chances are, if she smiles a lot and keeps the conversation going, she's into you. Let me know how it goes

It's a job and it's money. They'll probably ask you about your experience, why you want the job, pretty generic stuff. They mostly want to see that you actually want the job and can do what they ask. I don't think you'd be put in the suit unless you asked specifically to do it.
