Star Wars: The Old Republic Question.?

I've been following a lot of the stuff for Star Wars: The Old Republic, but I have one question that, so far, has been unanswered.

Is there a separate story and online play? Like, with COD, you have the regular story play, and then you can play online. Is it the same? Or is it always online, with other people? That doesn't seem likely, but I'm not sure. If you know, I'd be very happy to be brought up-to-date on this.

Pretty sure it's strictly online without separate offline play such as starcraft or whatever.

I have been playing SWTOR for the past few days (early access). There is 1 main storyline. There is also PvP warfronts you can que up for.

I played every single COD game from #1 to MW3, SWTOR is nothing like COD.

It's just an MMO. There is no single player story mode you don't have to pay monthly to play. You are always online when you play and you always have to be subscribed.
