?

I read somewhere that there was a mythological creature that somehow messed with human impulse control? Like, I don't remember much--it was a LONG time ago. But even after hours of research, I can't find anything even close. All I remember is that it's some kind of weird monster that just takes a person's impulse control away, makes them crazy. Is there anything like that, or am I mistaken? Sorry I don't have more info to work with. Anything at all that might match the description would be helpful.

I've been on a video game bender for a couple of weeks now. During this time, everything was fine--my controller worked normally. I changed the batteries a couple of times, and my controller was working normally. Then, all of a sudden a couple of days ago it started shutting off randomly. The lights would blink diagonally, like the batteries were dead, and I would change them out for fresh batteries and it would still do it. I'm literally sitting, like, five feet from my Xbox, the pack is securely in, and it shuts off every five seconds no matter the batteries, the connection, or the pack. I read somewhere that I needed to take the batteries out of the pack to clean and re-position the metal prongs. After doing this, it still didn't change anything.

P.S. I notice that one of my batteries sort of rattles around on the plus side of my pack, while the other side it's really hard to remove the battery. I don't know if this is relevant at all, but I thought I'd mention it.

From what I've read, the English say all sorts of things about the Welsh--they have sex with sheep, they're always singing, they love war and play rugby between wars just to let out the war-lust, their place names are impossible to pronounce, they're skeptical, they're cheats, they eat bland food, they're always the first in and out of the pubs, etc.

But what do the Welsh say bout the English? I know some stereotypes about the English, but they might just be stereotypes Americans have for the English.

Not a sentimental attachment, but more an attachment based on whether or not they feel their life is "improved" by someone or something. Can they form attachments to people or things that they come to view as extensions of themselves, or things to keep around to make themselves happy or comfortable? Can they become attached to a person, friendly or otherwise, just because that person is improves the sociopath's quality of living?

I have recently gotten a Steam account and the first game I decided to get was KotOR II. I had the game on console, but everyone said it was much more satisfying to play it on PC. Well, so far it is, but I was wanting to install some mods just to spice the game up a little since I have played it through so many times before. I wanted something to make my PC experience a little new and more fun.

Well, I have watched numerous videos and read different things about how to mod and thought I understood the concept. Once I download the file, I extract it and copy it to my "override" folder in KotOR II, which I access through Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\SwKotOR2\override. But when I do this and go to start my game, the mod still doesn't work. Is there something I am missing?

I remember when I got Fallout New Vegas for PC, a friend of mine had to go through and do something to "allow" the mods to work. Like, give permission. I'm not particularly computer savvy, having been strictly a console kind of girl until recently, so I may not really understand what she was doing and may be relaying this information improperly.

I would very much appreciate it if someone could help me out. I would ask my friend again, but she lives very far away and works a lot, so I hate imposing on her.

My little brother has this problem--when he goes to the bathroom in the morning, he unconsciously pees all over the floor. Like, puddles. When I confront him about it, he seems completely aware that he did it and has no explanation for WHY. I asked if he did it on purpose, and he didn't deny it. I'm wondering if this could be some kind of psychological thing. He's done this for a while now. For a time, he seemed to stop (he had taken to peeing behind the wastebasket back then, whereas now he just pees all around the toilet), and only recently picked it back up again. It's starting to worry me. Not only that, but I'm kind of disgusted by pee and would like to not have to clean it up off the floor anymore.

I just want some kind of idea of what was going on in Texas in 1915. It was a place pretty much in the precipice of change, what with government interference and new technologies being introduced during this time. And I know that racism and sexism were still major issues back then, and the Irish immigrants weren't being treated much better. But what other issues was the state of Texas struggling with back then?

It says that by 1903 that most Mjoave boys and girls were being placed in schools and forced to learn to read and write in English, but were there any tribes still wandering about? It seems unlikely, but I'm having trouble finding any information about this.

In fact, does any animal with horns or antlers lose pigmentation in them when albinism occurs?

I'm asking for your personal preference. I'm playing as a Female Shepard, so my options are Kaidan Alenko and Liara T'Soni. I just don't know which one I want to pick.

I've been following a lot of the stuff for Star Wars: The Old Republic, but I have one question that, so far, has been unanswered.

Is there a separate story and online play? Like, with COD, you have the regular story play, and then you can play online. Is it the same? Or is it always online, with other people? That doesn't seem likely, but I'm not sure. If you know, I'd be very happy to be brought up-to-date on this.

I think that sci fi has a lot of good ideas, but when things get too technical it takes the feeling out of a book or movie. Fantasy has plenty of feeling, but lacks diversity. I mean, how often do you come across a fantasy book that doesn't have the usual elves, dwarfs, and wizards? Fantasy could stand to change things up with original creatures, a more advanced setting, maybe, and an original idea or two! And sci fi could stand to loosen up, give their characters a little feeling and their world a little simplicity!

What are your views on this?

I've been a little confused lately about whether or not I like manticores or gryffins better. Manticores are cool because they can have a variety of features. The only standard features on a manticore is that they have to have a man-like head (though with all the hair, it ends up looking kind of like a man-beast) and a lion body. Other than that, it can have bat wings, horns, a scorpion or dragon tail, and even dragon feet instead of lion feet. The gryffin is pretty standard. Eagle head and wings, lion body. But they're still really cool, too!

But I want to know which one you like best! Please, share your thoughts with me.

I just finished watching it.

Personally, I found it disgusting. It starts off cute, and then just gets gross, and then morbid. I don't mind dark animes, but this was just...too much. I'm sure I've seen things that are even more sexual and violent, but the way these things were combined...was just too much for me.

Even after the whole anime was over, I couldn't completely hate Makoto's character, even though I wanted to so badly. It's like...he was the most disgusting boy I've ever heard of. But he was so nice, even while he was sleeping with everybody and their dog, that it was hard to hate him. And for me, that's saying a lot because I hate people who are too focused on having sex. That's what makes it so disgusting to me. It's almost like they created these horrible people that could be anyone. It makes me want to throw up when I think about it.

And the ending, when what's-her-name kills him and the other girl cuts her open and sails away with his severed head. Isn't that a bit much? I hate it when animes get overdramatic and push to extremes like that.

Anyway, my point is that I loathed it entirely, and wish I had never watched it. It almost feels like it traumatized me! But now I want to know if there's anyone out there who liked it. Or just what you thought about it. Hopefully, if anyone liked it, they can give me one reason why I shouldn't hate it.

Also, as a bonus question, does anyone know any good school dramas that aren't so...blech? I've already seen Ouran High School Host Club, Clannad, Peach Girl, and School days. And for mangas, I read Hana-Kimi. If you have any that are comical and cute, without all the blood and sex, please let me know. I'm not against blood unless it's in the wrong kind of story (like School Days), and I can handle sex if it doesn't really show or anything. I don't need to see it, is what I mean. I can know that it happened, but I don't want to see not even light fondling, okay?

Okay, so I just got both Heart Gold and Soul Silver and I'm playing Gold right now. This whole "Spiky-Eared Pichu" event really has me crazy, and I totally want it. I know the event for the Pikachu-Colored Pichu was a while back and I missed it, but is there any other way to get it? And if I can trade, would anyone be willing to trade one to me, even for just a little while so I can do the event?
