Parents: how many presents do YOU get at christmas?
do your kids give you the bare minimum crappy gifts, or full-out shower you in best-mom-ever sweatshirts and macaronii pictureframes? what age are they, too. i find it apalling at how some kids act: a lot of them say they'll just print out a couponbook of free hugfs, and that's it, or buy a sweater for each of them, and considerf that the end of that. others get so stressed about the amount of presents they need to make and buy that they groan every time they hear "Christmas". what about you?

My kids got me a cruise trip last year, and this year they are taking me to Disney world, and giving me my first grandsons (twins). They are the best kids ever!

My Mother is 82 and is hard to buy for, I usually feel she thinks I should have bought her something else, my children don't seem to know what I like either, perhaps it's genetic. Still I agree it's the thought that counts, and I try to be warm and thankful because I love them all dearly, although if I get another set of movie tickets I swear I'll scream, lol.

Well for my mom this year since its Christmas and her birthday, I got her say a robe and slippers, a box set of her favorite tea,a pair of warm leather gloves, a new colorful scarf, a warm winter coat/jacket thing since she's been complaining about not having one lol, and every year I wake up early and make her breakfast in bed.
For my dad this year, I got him snow pants, new house slippers, a package of his favorite coffee, and a new pair of warm leather gloves.
Its not much compared to what I got this entire year (ton of clothes and money I've collected/worked for to buy a camera) but its all I can afford on your basic babysitters salary when I have to buy my friends gifts also.
I love the holiday season (:

I usually make breakfast for them, make 2 cards in my art class at school (I have no money, I am 12), and print out little coupon books that'll be like ''Do the dishes for 2 weeks'' or ''clean the table every Thursday for 3 months'' stuff.

the best present that i can say i have ever had is: having my kids and my grand kids and a nice family dinner. all our presents were not crappy either. it's not about who got the best presents anyways. maybe some parents cant afford nice gifts. but what is so awesome is seeing the joy on a child's face .

I make my mom and dad a card, and my sister gets the what she wants at some holiday shop from her school. It's not much, but of course I say thank you for the gifts (when my little sister isn't around) and give them my love.

im just 12...but when I give my parents their gifts I can tell by the look on their face they love it..and why you ask? Because I got it for them...they love me and what I get them no matter how crappy it is...they love it because I bought/made it for them...they might not use it or wear it or anything but they love it...no matter what...
