I want to give my pet southern flying squirrel a chestnut (uncooked) to eat, but first I need to know if they are poisonous to them.

im leaving for vacation in a week, and im leaving my computer home, taking my laptop with me. im also leaving my rodent at home, and i want a live video stream so i can make sure hes ok when my neighbor isnt there. i have a webcam on my computer. is there some option on skype that automatically answers when i call? or is there some other website? hanks.

do your kids give you the bare minimum crappy gifts, or full-out shower you in best-mom-ever sweatshirts and macaronii pictureframes? what age are they, too. i find it apalling at how some kids act: a lot of them say they'll just print out a couponbook of free hugfs, and that's it, or buy a sweater for each of them, and considerf that the end of that. others get so stressed about the amount of presents they need to make and buy that they groan every time they hear "Christmas". what about you?

ok, so last year, me and my friend, lets call her jessy, saw some girl in our latin class. Let's call her laura. laura and jessy had pretty much every class together, so we all became friends. i never really liked her too much, but I guess she was fine. And then, about a month into the school year, she'd start being absent. at first it was once or twice a week, but by March, we were lucky if we saw her once a month. so, every monday after school, the time that me and jessy normally devoted to our monday routine- stay after for english teacher, take late bus to library, get corn dog, read comics and make fun of dumb girly magazines- we started walking to lauras house (about a mile from the library. meh.) and hanging out with her. she was never really begging to hang out or anything. she'd rather stay on her computer. Now, when i go on the computer i go on tons of things- memebase, facebook, failbook, oddee, etc etc. But she oly went on one website. Ourworld. its basically a crappy kiddy version of world of warcraft/webkinz/ club penguin/ yoville/any other game like that. Except all the word have to be in the ourworld dictionary, or they get referred to the earest dictionary word. after you send it. so if you said "heyy laura. y wernt u at school 2day?" it would say something like "help laura. winter at school day?" and its annoying. she spent all her money on this game, and ignored us in favor of it. One time jessy and i invited her over to my house to play on the trampoline/slip n slide/ go biking. but she said she was busy with a friend. so we were like, oh cool who is it? if we know her you can both come over. and she sed it was an ourworld friend who she was talking to online. so we ended up not hanging out. this happened countless times. she'd almost never come to school, and if she did, she was 3 or 4 periods late. one time she came to school in the middle of last period. her reason? every morning, she didnt "feel" like coming to school because she needed to sleep more. hmm... does that happen to every other middle schooler in our town? i think so! eventually she started reaching out for attention even more. she started faking mental disorders for attention. At fir it was ddepression. She would talk constantly about how depressed she waas, at the most awkward times. Aka, always. then she started cutting herself. most people hide their cuts, but she would shove it in their faces, making them really uncomfortable. like, one time, me jessy, laura, and a couple other friends were sitting at a table at lunch. we were laughing, joking, making fun of celebrities and teachers, etc. she was pretty much silent except to say that no music was better than nickelback's (more on tht after). then ,out of nowhere, she says that she cuts herself, and wants to die and starts showing us her cuts. she posts all of this on facebook, too. she, by the way, has only cut herself about 3 times, and no times has it left a scar. why? she does it with the plastic ring on soda bottles that tel you if its been opened. everything got all silent and awkward. like, way to ruin it. then she pretended to try and kill herself. how? by biting her wrists and falling asleep. her parents brought her to the hospital, and she stayed there for a month. then, when she got out, she decided to try on OTHER mental disorders. like, she would ALWAYS ask us if she should be emo vs goth, in, like, every conversation. then she pretended to have ADHD by being all hyper. that lasted about a week. now shes in her "boy stuck in a girl's body" phase. she wears boy's shorts, never shaves her legs (which would be fine if her hair wasn't black on the palest white skin i've ever seen. ), and hangs around boys. but, she never talks to them, doesnt have interest in boy-ish things, and they pretty much ignore her. she never laughs at any jokes. she just talks about her depression and SHOVES her "symptoms" in your face. she'll start making everything awkward for attention at the weirdest times. one time, me and jessy were fantasizing about what we would do if we could freeze time. we were laughing about how we'd change the teacher's schedules so everyday we'd have good food, no homework, etc etc. she said shed kill everybody, then herself, so nobody could survive. but she'd let nickelback live.she's way too obsessed with nickelback, too.If anybody says anything bad about nickelback, she goes ballistic.whenever you ask her what she's thinking about?nickelback.every single day she wears a nickelback shirt.they cost about $40 apiece, even though jessy and i showed her how to iron images onto t-shirts, one of our favorite sleepover activities.

I tried being nice to her, i really did. I invited her to almost evrything me and jessy did together, but she always makes it not only difficult, but also awkward and boring. its actually HARD to hang out with he

I've just started writing html, and i know a lot of the basics. i designed a cool website on notepad, and now i want to turn it into a website. i'm completely fine with, instead of having example.com, having example.hostsite.com/other ending. I'm also completely fine with having advertisements on it. I really don't need anything fancy. I dont want one of those "ready in minutes, just drag n drop" websites. I know html. I want to make a website, and i already wrote the code. Please reccomend the actual site, and i dont want to pay anything. even like 99 cents. thank you :)

I'm in 8th grade now, and my friend says that to get into a good college, I need to go to a charter school. Our family doesn't have the money for me to go to private school, and either way I'm morally against them. I want to go to the local community school, but my friend (also in 8th grade, different town, same county) and her mom say i should go to a charter school. i live in plymouth county, massachusetts. when i grow up i want to study physics and astronomy at either MIT or CalTech. I went on the MIT website, and 67% of those admitted were from a public school (i assume this includes charters). is this a good or bad thing for me? My high school has very limited options as for classes and extracurriculars. I want to know wwhat I need to do befor college, I had no idea it was so close!!

my birthday is late october, and im turning 13. im a girl, but dont even THINK about suggesting a "makeover" party or some other girly monstrosity. im not a girly girl, and i dont like sports. i want to do something relatively cheap. im going to have 7 or 8 people coming, and i dont want to spend it at home or the ymca. im still kind of into kiddish stuff. last year, i had my birthday at lazerzone, a lasertag/arcade place, and it was AWESOME. the year before that, my friends and i went to this place called the rainbow of new england, where there was a room full of trampolines and playground equipment we could play on. ive also gone to the beach for my birthday, but my parents wont let me this year, as its going to be cold. my birthday is 2 days before halloween, but i dont want anything halloween-related. i hav no idea what to do this year... ideas? :)))

so my 5-year old daughter and I were playing checkers, and usually i let her win. but this time she was bragging in my face about it, so i won as hard as i could. she got all upset, and now my wife won't talk to me. thoughts?

My oven is broken, and I want 2 make cookies. I already kno wat cookie recipe I use- its the first one when you google how to make chocolate chip cookies. Can I just put these in a closed pan and cook them on a stovetop?

sometimes when I'm alone, and/or it's nighttime, I get these feelings and thoughts that are so paranoid and terrifying, I feel like crying, running to my parents, hauling the sun back up to the Earth, etc. I'm truly afraid of alien abdduction, as I've spotted what I believe to be the "probe" classification of UFO's multiple times. I'm afraid of crazy serial killers. I'm afraid of little bugs, and psychological disorders which would cause me or my family to kill us all. For the past hour, I have been unexplainably terrified and unable to look at the ceiling... or behind me. I need someone to hug, but it's the middle of the night. I need light, but I still know it's dark outside. I have the tv and computer on, but even all the distractions in the world keep me terrified and paranoid. I hear random noises at night. thuds. these states of paranoia and terrified-ness last sometimes for hours. I can't fall asleep. I'm afraid of everything. I feel like crying. does this happen to you? why is this happening?

I'm getting two gerbils soon, and I need to know which type of sand won't irritate their respiratory system, etc. the sand from my sandbox is pretty coarse. I'm not buying sand from the pet store, and don't suggest kitty litter. My plan is to fill 2 or 3 inches with sandbox/ beach sand, 3 or 4 inches of shredded paper towel and cardboard, and 1 inch of toilet paper at the top for nesting material. Experienced gerbil owners, vets, and other experts only. If anybody- ANYBODY- answers "idk, try it. " or "just buy chinchilla sand" or "probably" i will report you. thanks :)

I have a chocolate cake in the oven right now. I used the last of my Hershey's cocoa on it, so I need to use a substitute for frosting. It isn't possible for me to go to the store for cocoa or frosting, so i need something else. I do however have a full jar of nutella and a lot of jello pudding. i was thinking of mixing equal parts jello and nutella with a beater. mixer? beat-mixer- whippy thing? idk, the electronic whisk. then I'd spread it on the cake. I'm a fraid Nutella would be too hard, and jello too runny. would they mix? also, give me any thoughts for other frostings i can make with jello pudding, nutella, other household ingredients, etc.

I was originally planning on getting two females, as i had so much luck with that many years ago with my guinea pigs. my friend is urging me to get one male and one female, but im afraid tat the male will get jealous or the female will get depressed or something. then i thought of getting two males but my friend said they'd fight all the time. does that happen when there are no females around? thanks. oh yeah and idk what breed im getting whichever best suits my lifestyle (playful, energetic, social).

I'm planning on buying/ adopting two hamsters soon. I want to name them cute couple names like tom and jerry, lewis and clark, bert and ernie, etc. If you hae any idea, please comment! Also, I'm going to have to draw the line at two syllables, so long names are out.

Heres an idea of why its hard to think of ideas: in the past ive avalanched them with presents, so the bar's set pretty high.

My mom: she doesnt like cooking, sewing, bathing, girly stuff etc. doesnt like clothes, bags, shoes or makeup. somewhat likes the smurfs, loves napping. works in finance/administration for a small company. doesnt read. tries to exercise.

My dad: loves warcraft, sort of likes wii, loves mushrooms/ mycology, obsessed with portuguese water dogs, works in I.T. for the same company. likes building things. hates sports. loves warsteiner beer (bottle, not can). wears casual clothes to work and has a single office. likes howard stern.
