What is the process to move to America..!?

My boyfriend (26 years old) lives in Tampa Bay, Florida. I (22 years old) live in Canada (Toronto, Ontario) I am a Canadian born and raised here. He is American. I will be going to Florida in February.. How long can I stay in america with my passport? What if I decide to move there with him permanently what are the steps? If we get married will it be easier for me? Or can I just not get married, and just go through the paper process.. how long is the process? Would it be approved? I need all the information with detail and be specific. Thanks in advance.

Update:

In order to be able to stay permanently, and to work, I will have to get married, have him sponsor me for immigration, and get a green card... HOW LONG DOES THIS TAKE !? What's the process of this? DETAILS PLEASE !?!?

You can stay six months without a problem. If you marry him, you can stay permanently. You could get approved as long as he has a job and income to support you.

You can stay at most 6 months without going through the immigration process, and you can not work. An no, you can't just pop out of the country and pop back in to reset the 6 months. The border patrol is wise to that, and will catch you, and stamp your passport so that you are no longer eligible to enter without a visa.

In order to be able to stay permanently, and to work, you will have to get married, have him sponsor you for immigration, and get a green card.

the 1st step. bypass to the closest united statesEmbassy, and stick to for permission to immigrate. the technique would soak as much as 5-10 years to end. you are able to't legally artwork interior the U.S. and not using a "artwork" visa, which you are able to't get on your guy or woman. An American corporation could sponsor you, and that isn't take place except you have a job ability in call for interior the U.S., and there are not adequate qualified individuals to do the artwork. that would desire to recommend a Uni stepped forward degree in fields like drugs, Engineering, or computing gadget technologies. common commerce/craft persons won't qualify through fact there are too many unemployed individuals searching for those kinds of jobs. through fact lots of Brits stick to so that they don't seem to be eligible for the eco-friendly Card lottery.

You can stay up to 180 days without a visa

If you want to marry ..then return to Canada while he files for either

a fiancee or a spousal visa

then you enter the US correctly and without a problem
