All of the land that has become the Hawaiian Islands was formed by volcanic activity arising from a vent in the ocean floor, and the next island east of the Big Island of Hawaii is already building up. Except for some reef buildup, there is no source of rock, soil or sand in the area. The youngest island, Hawaii, still has one active volcano. All others are either extinct for sure or (in the case of Mona Loa) probably extinct.

A volcano does not stop being a volcano just because it no longer erupts. So I would say the Hawaiian Islands are made up almost entirely of volcanoes, many of them long extinct, and some reefs in shallow areas.

Hawaii has been made by a plate that continues to move northwest over a volcanic hotspot. The hotspot remains active today.

You might say the islands have been made entirely by a single undersea "volcano." However, as the plate of the earth moves over it, it's manifested on the surface as a series of volcanoes over time forming the different islands.

The hotspot continues to manifest via the active volcanoes on the Big Island right now, and the youngest island of Loihi technically remains underwater still. It began forming around 400,000 years ago and is still likely 10,000 to 100,000 years away from just starting to break the surface of the water.

No. Hawaii island, aka the Big Island, is the only one of the 8 major islands that has an active volcano on it.

Technically speaking though, at one point or another over millions of years, each island was formed entirely from volcanic activity. The Big Island currently sits on top of a "hot spot". If you look at a map you'll see the Big Island is the most south eastern island in the chain. The Earth's tectonic plates in the Hawaiian Island region are moving from south east to north west. The hot spot spews out lava which eventually forms a volcanic mountain which becomes a Hawaiian island. Then the tectonic plates move the island to the north west and a new island forms. So looking at a map you'll see that the Big Island is currently sitting on top of the hot spot and is therefore the youngest island. Niihau and Kauai are the oldest and the most north western of the 8 major islands.

All of the Hawaiian islands were formed by volcanoes. In fact, they all originated on the same spot, but over millions of years the sea floor has shifted to the west and slightly to the north, spreading the islands out over hundreds of miles. The Big Island is the only one that still has active volcanoes, and a new island is starting to form off the east coast of it.

    Which island?

The Big Island has a couple of volcanoes, one of them active. There are dormant or extinct volcanoes on some of the other islands in Hawaii, e.g. Oahu and Maui.

Go to a website that has info on Hawaii, e.g. Wikipedia, or do a search on the topic.
