what are the politicians hiding with this payroll tax cut extension bill?

if this 2 month extension passes, the addendum to the bill (the keystone pipeline) also passes. which means long after 2 months are gone...some corporation - probably an oil company will be building an oil pipeline from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico. yes, it may be privately funded (180 billion?) but then privately owned. and will they just be taking private property from owners who don't want to sell? who will really profit from this payroll tx cut extension bill? there are so many questions but no one is talking about it. the whole thing just seems sneaky.

Republicans in the House are trying for force Obama to allow building of the pipeline. That is a good thing. In the US we have over 600,000 miles of various types of pipelines. No one loses their land. A right of way is granted so the pipe can cross private property. It is done with everything underground, such as Fios and cable TV lines.

Two months of continued tax cuts amounts to about $20 per week per person. Many people would not notice a difference in their pay checks. The companies who provide payroll services to businesses cannot implement the change in the law for two months when they only have 7 weeks to make the change. The costs to businesses would be huge.

Canada will sell their oil to India and China if they cannot lower their delivery costs to the US.

    Your naivete is scary.

The House Republican plan is to keep the payroll extension for a full year, paid for by cuts elsewhere that the Democrats disagree with.

The Democrats only want a two-month extension so that they can go on vacation and not worry about it right now.

It's this kind of uncertainty that hinders growth of private enterprise and creation of jobs in the private sector
