What's your fav type of seme and uke in yaoi manga?

Interesting... Depends a lot on the story but if I had to name a favorite type then I guess I like the self-conscious or insecure type semes who have their own doubts and inner conflicts and who are, in contrast to those overconfident super semes, considerate and actually concerned about the uke's feelings rather than just forcing their own feelings on their partner. Hidden feelings and jealousy can be really cute and I also truly adore it when semes blush!!

As for ukes, I like them a bit spunky and self-reliant but, more than tsunderes, I prefer ukes who actually show their seme some love. Looks-wise the uke really must look like a guy, though I do like it when the seme is slightly more masculine. Both should preferably be real bishounen... ♥

Uke Types

I like the ones that are mysterious, like you never know what they are thinking. And theey are kinda mean but they love thier uke so much. An example of the Seme I am talking about would be the seme from 'His Most Favorite".

I like the Uke that is more manly. It is funny seeing how embarased they get by there semes. And when they are so in denial of thier feelings it is fun to watch them work out their feelings. They don't have to be really talk, but they shouldn't be the ones that look like little boys, are really really weak, or look like girls...I thought this was yaoi so why make them look like women?

My favorite kind of seme are the soft, but straight-forward kind. They just bluntly say, "I love you" right then and there. And mean it too!

The kind of uke that I'm quite fond of are the reluctant kind. But I don't like the kind that gives in too easily. I like the ones that really hesitate to be in a relationship with the guy, but always gives in in the end <3 But if the uke is a homophobe it makes me love the manga all the more.

Younger semes. Childish, devoted, loving. Maybe a tad bit possessive but not irrationally so. I also have an unhealthy attraction to semes with long hair.

Older ukes. Stubborn, reluctant, able to take care of himself but deep down enjoys being doted on.

Mishima Kazuhiko is a good example. I always enjoy her seme/uke dynamics.

I like spunky ukes and hesitant semes. It makes for an adorable combo, but it's really had to find a good series that has this setup...
