Can i add bleach to my hair colourant?
I have brown hair, and want to go a wild colour like a funky purple or a bright pink, but with my hair being the colour it is it needs bleaching first, however my hair grows rather fast and by the time i put the colour on my roots have grown out again and my hair looks a disaster, so i was wondering if there was a way i'd be able to add the peroxide to the colour and get the desired effect, and if so, how much bleach would i be required to add?
Thank you for your help. x
@Brenna, there's no need for sarcasm, it's a reasonable question.

Loreal HiColor for dark hair! There are pretty colors and you don't bleach your hair first. You can just put it in and wait 30min. The hair color does all the work. I had dark dark hair and used the magenta highlights all over and it was so bright :-)

Don't even bother. You need to bleach to your hair first, but you can dye it directly after--there is no reason to wait (especially when you're using semi-permanent tints--they do not harm your hair at all; they simply stain it). Just buy some powdered or cream bleach and mix it according to directions with a 20 volume developer (peroxide). Section your hair to apply the bleach. The key to bleaching is using THIN sections so that you can apply the bleach thoroughly and evenly, otherwise your hair will take forever to bleach (and thus be destroyed) if you don't section it properly and evenly.
When your done bleaching and your hair's dry, apply your color as you normally would (really saturate your hair and use heat for best results). Trust me, I used to bleach my hair and dye it myself (I used Punky Color) before I went to hair school, but it was so much easier and it always came out WAY better after I learned how to do it correctly.
