Is Christmas a hoax, since it is not really Christian?
No, Jesus is not the "Reason for the Season".
The December 25th birthday of the sun god is a common motif globally, dating back thousands of years as reflected in winter solstices artfully recorded in caves. Nearly all nations commemorated the birth of the god Sol to the "Queen of Heaven" and "Celestial Virgin." The winter solstice was celebrated in countless places, including China and Persia, the latter regarding the solar Lord and Savior Mithra's birth. In Rome, a great festival called "Saturnalia" was celebrated from December 1st to the 23rd. The winter solstice festival in Egypt included the babe in a manger brought out of the sanctuary.
Regarding the date of the "Christmas Feast," the Catholic Encyclopedia ("Christmas") remarks: The well-known solar feast...of Natalis Invicti, celebrated on 25 December, has a strong claim on the responsibility for our December date....
The earliest rapprochement of the births of Christ and the sun is in Cypr., "De pasch. Comp.", xix, "...O, how wonderfully acted Providence that on that day on which that Sun was born...Christ should be born." In the fourth century, Chrysostom, "del Solst. Et Æquin." (II, p. 118, ed. 1588), says: "...But Our Lord, too, is born in the month of December...the eight before the calends of January [25 December]... But they call it the 'Birthday of the Unconquered'. Who indeed is so unconquered as Our Lord...? Or, if they say that it is the birthday of the Sun, He is the Sun of Justice." Already Tertullian (Apol., 16; cf. Ad. Nat., I, 13; Orig. c. Cels., VIII, 67, etc) had to assert that Sol was not the Christians' God; Augustine (Tract xxxiv, in Joan. In P. L., XXXV, 1652) denounces the heretical indentification of Christ with Sol. Pope Leo I (Serm. xxxvii in nat. dom., VII, 4; xxii, II, 6 in P. L., LIV, 218 and 198) .

With that wealth of information why would someone want to celebrate such an untruth that it is Jesus birthday. It is a form paganism and Jehovah God does not approve of. When you celebrate your birthday is it totally on another month day and someone else get gifts and presents etc... If Jesus wanted us to know his birthday and put some significance to it it would have been mentioned in the Bible.

The problem with your statement is that Tertullian was a 3rd century Catholic Theologian and St. Augustine of Hippo is a Doctor of the Catholic Church also the Bishop of Hippo. And even St. John Chrysostom is also a Doctor of the Catholic Church. Your using Catholic references to defend you otherwise silly theory, and "Pope" St. Leo the Great is also a Doctor of the Catholic Church. The ancient Roman Pagans celebrated there winter solstice for six days, the birthday of Christ is only one day out of the year.
That's right Catholics don't worship the Roman sun god Natialis Invicti. The birthday of Christ on December 25th is for Christ alone it has no connection with Paganism.

Christmas is Christ's Mass. This is the day that we Christians celebrate the coming of "The Light of the World". It is the day that we celebrate it and has been for two Milena. You are taking bits of information out of context. Christmas is not, and never was, meant to be Jesus' Birthday. Jesus was born in the spring time of about 4 BC.
In the days of the early church, everyone had a winter time of gift giving like you mention. The early Christians wanted one too. So, at the first church council in Jerusalem about 35 AD, they agreed to make Christmas at the same time as The Festival of lights (Hanukkah).
Christmas is about Christ. Giving gifts during the winter solstice is much older. So, why do you give gifts? Is it because it is traditional? Do you spread Christmas Cheer because of a tradition, or because of a man who taught us about giving?
You are partially correct. Gift giving is much older than Jesus. But, Christmas is about Love and Charity, not gifts.
Good Luck and God Bless

The celebration of te Birth of Christ is totally Christian.
If your birthday fell on a Thursday this year but were not going to celebrate it until Saturday then would everyone at your party be upset that your birthday party was not on your exact birthday? Of course, not. A birthday party on Saturday would be more convenient for almost everybody.
If no one knew when your birthday was then what day would you choose to celebrate it? Suppose most of the people you wanted to invite were farmers who had to work all spring, summer, and fall just to make enough to survive. You might pick the middle of the winter for a convenient time for your party.
No one knows the exact day when Jesus was born. If a date close to the winter solstice was partially chosen for Christmas to make conversion of pagans to Christianity easier then what is the harm of that?
Christmas (the Mass of Christ) is (and always has been) the Eucharistic celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, God the Son.
The angel said to them,
"Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger."
And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying:
"Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."
(Luke 2:10-14)

Just because a Christian Holy Day lands near or on the same day of the year as a Pagan holiday does not mean that that Christian Holy Day is "based on Paganism" or is "worshiping Satan."
With the thousands of Pagan religions all over the world which have been practiced for thousands of years, there is probably at least one (if not more than one) Pagan holiday for everyday of the year.
Using that logic:
+ Christians could never celebrate anything on any day of the year.
+ Anyone celebrating a loved one's birthday on April 20 is celebrating Hitler's birthday because coincidentally, Hitler was born on the same day.
With love in Christ.

How is celebrating the Incarnation - that God the Son, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, becoming human - not Christian? Remembering it on a date that's around the winter solstice does not make the celebration a hoax.

Big companies make a lot of money on holidays and so they make a big deal out of a pagan holiday. But it makes them happy and they know it is not Jesus birth or that the other things came from pagan culture. It is all advertising.
They do not care that it has nothing to do with Jesus christ and they also know their is no Santa Clause, and that he does not have 8 tiny reindeer that pull a magic sled through the sky. He does not live at the North Pole no one does.
It is kind of carrying make believe to reality, kind of wierd really?

Shame you wasted all that time typing a rant on something you don't understand.
Christmas is NOT meant to commemorate the exact date of the birth of Christ. You are simply very confused. No one knows the exact date Christ was born and it does not matter.

Christmas was a Pagan holiday, but now it's celebrated as a secular holiday, just like Valentines Day and Halloween.

The Biggest Lie Ever!
And they swallow it hook, line and sinker and return yearly for some more pain and suffering. lol
They moan and groan for 11 months or more to pay off the bills, and start all over again....sigh*
I can't figure it out...those who claim to be Christians do well to read Jesus' words at John 8:32...there he plainly states that the "truth" will set one free.
