That would have been swing music. Benny Goodman was known as the "King of Swing."

Yo Dennis ! (Merry Christmas brother + Hap N.Year too dude) , man there were a handful, majority o the goodies were Orchestra bands from what Mom N pops told me, big hit was Boogie Woogie Bugle song, but the Henry Miller Orchestra dude was hip hop back then, and another one that made a big mark was Percy something - he did the theme song to a pop hit movie back then i believe,,= Theme From A Summer Place or something along those words etc,, i seen this so i added it for ya to peek at ,, its a mix o the good ones most everyone had loved back then i the Biker beginnings era when them x service guys took Military issue bikes home with them = our loved favorite hobby we live for = motorcycle anything ! piston for a heart as my X wife used to say ! hahahhaaa,,
