Are you enjoying Christmas ?

it is merry christmas...... and yes my friends (just call them friends' to get a long with them don't really actually like them) are enjoying christmas painting graffiti and vandalising the city they live in.

I like Christmas, but I am amazed how many people do not know about Saturnalia, the Roman holiday. Saturnalia was a holiday after the winter solstice where the Romans would exchange gifts many of Christmas cherished customs are pagan in origin. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

BTW, KTDykes, Steeleye Span is the English folk group, Steely Dan is the American rock group.

Yes thanks. I've just finished two sinkfuls of washing up whilst listening to a compilation CD of British folk-rock from the 1970s. Lindesfarne, Steeleye Dan, the Strawbs, several Gaelic-language bands with names I fail to remember... If I'm lucky, I might find some time for ironing later. Then I'd be allowed to get away with listening to some Lonnie Donegan. As my wife hates both ironing and skiffle, she lets me get both over and done with simultaneously.

I really hate decorating. When persuaded with a machine gun to paint the living room ceiling white a few years ago, rather than the white colour it already appeared to be, I resorted to a Country and Western compilation my deceased father-in-law had unwisely acquired. Much of it was a crime against humanity. It was ideal.

We have 2 kids and 2 adults from Florida for 10 days the joint is already a wreck. But yes enjoy.

I neither gave nor received so much as an extra crumb. I believe in living everyday as Christmas or none at all. I choose the former. Joy to you all.
