Is there a fit-to-width option in MS Paint?

I want to select a part of a picture and insert it in a new document. So I open Microsoft Paint and select the part I want. Then I create a new Paint document. However, when I click on Edit > Paste, the picture does not fit the new window. Is there a way to make it fit to the new frame? Thanks

    paint is terrible

    when you click new picture

you can drag the bottom right corner in to reduce the canvas size.

then when you paste it stretches back out to fit the pasted size.

    alternatively

if inserting into a word doc

    insert the whole picture

    then double click it

    edit it

and use the cropping tools of word, they are better than Paint!

    can you believe that?

    well i can.

you may want to apply the cropping to reduce wastage inside word.
