How do I block Words with Friends notifications from facebook on my iphone?

I had this same problem and just found the solution. Log in to FB, and navigate to your account settings. From there, click on the notifications tab on the left. At the bottom of the notifications screen, there should be an option that says "Other Applications". Click on that link to expand the options. From there, find WWF and uncheck the box. You may need to click on "Show More" in order to find WWF.

Basically when you block someone your profile ceases to exist to them. They won’t be able to find you, nor will they be able to see any of your comments/responses on the walls of mutual friends. This is a much better way of getting rid of someone than unfriending them where they’ll still see you around, but will notice that you aren’t “friends” anymore. Someone you barely or don’t know will be a lot less likely to even notice unless they are a stalker than someone you are close to or know well in the real world.
