Cleaning fluids on clothes and cloths - which shouldn't go in washing machine?
My husband works for a commercial cleaning company that uses some pretty smelly and caustic stuff to clean. He washed some cloth rags with chemicals on them in our washer (his employer's really cheap!).
I was concerned about it screwing up our washer or leaving residue that would get on our clothes, not to mention into the water supply eventually.
Which ones should be avoided, if they're not "green" (or even if they are)?
Well, I didn't kill him but I was pretty upset! I mean, how could he not know that this stuff doesn't belong in a washer?
As for his employer, the guy is SO cheap that he asked my husband to STEAL garbage bags from clients! At least he refused, knowing HE would answer for it if caught, not the boss! Ugh...
If only "the old man" COULD find a new job! He's a carpenter and even guys with twice his experience are unemployed or starting their own "handyman" companies. Times are pretty tough where WE are...don't know what your neck of the woods is like, economically.

I would kill my husband if he did this. ANYthing petroleum based should NEVER go in a residential washer and especially in the dryer.
He needs to man up and tell his boss that he is not bringing them home ever again. If this guy is that cheap, then he can do it himself. Any jerk who does that isn't going to pay for your new washer, dryer, or house in a fire, now is he?
Commercial cleaners need to have the means of taking care of these problems themselves. If the guy can't operate his company properly, it won't be around long. The old man needs to find a better job, honey.
