Does 65% polyester and 35% cotton keep you warm?

I'm thinking of buying a sweatshirt that's 65% polyester and 35% cotton for the winter, but will this keep me warm? I'm buying it offline so can't try it on

    unfortunately it really depends on the loft of the fabric, (how fluffy it is) I have have sweatshirts of this blend one is absolutely beautiful, fluffy warm cozy, I will not lend it to aANYONE, but the other is hard and inflexible and more like waering a badly matted shrunken woolen jumper and does not keep out the cold.

    just something you will have to go on faith Good Luck!
