Christians, why do you cheerfully ignore the fact that the god of the bible?

@Citizen of the Cosmos. If the bible is mistaken on those points then how do you know that it is correct about any of the points in it?

Sodom and Gommorah weren't "gay cities." The Bible says that Sodom became destroyed because of the fact of satisfaction and failure to help the needy. people who've by no ability actually study the Bible get the story puzzled now and lower back. Paul claimed to be conversing for Jesus. the only reason Christians take that declare heavily now's because of the fact Paul's followers at last took administration of the church and decreed his letters to be scripture. The previous testomony passages that supposedly condemn gays are much less condemnatory interior the unique language. The translations take some serious liberties. I am happy to say that I am a Christian. However, my faith is not based on emotion or sentimentality. It is based on a study of the Bible and putting into practice what it says for Christians.

Jehovah flooded the earth because the "badness of man was abundant in the earth and the inclination of the thought of his heart was only bad all the time... and the earth came to be ruined in the sight of the true God and the earth came to be filled with violence... all flesh had ruined its way on the earth.' God evicted the bad tenants and kept the good ones. The same is going to happen in our time. the earth is ruined in God's eyes. It is filled with badness, violence. Thus the war we have come to know as Armageddon.

If, as in Noah's day, and soon in ours, Jehovah God destroys the wicked, why complain? What kind of government would allow the hardened, murderous, criminal to walk about freely and indefinitely amongst its law abiding citizens? When the police throw criminals in jail, and the justice system punishes them, leaving their children fatherless/motherless, do you complain that the government is evil?

God's justice is loving, fair, unbiased, perfect. It is not based upon whimsical emotion and sentiment, as is ours. So when he executes his justice, the righteous will benefit (Psalm 37; Proverbs 2:21,22). I won't complain. Will you?

God is not evil. And you must account for these words one awful day.

God gave the people of Noah's day the space to repent - and they did not. So God destroyed evil. He could not leave the babies to care for themselves now could he?

While at first glance this accusasion against the character of God can be used to slander him as those in the past have attempted to do so. A clear case... A court case has been well documented through out thousands of years of history.

Lets go to one of the cases you list which is the flood.

Over looking as major fact is the interference of the demons in mans affairs.

(Genesis 6:1-2) . . .Now it came about that when men started to grow in numbers on the surface of the ground and daughters were born to them, 2 then the sons of the [true] God began to notice the daughters of men, that they were good-looking; and they went taking wives for themselves, namely, all whom they chose.

some of the heavenly beings saw that these young women were beautiful, so they took the ones they liked.

Compare this with (Job 1:6) . . .Now it came to be the day when the sons of the [true] God entered to take their station before Jehovah, and even Satan proceeded to enter right among them. . .

Now what happed when these Angels turned demons had sex with these earthly women?

Genesis 6:4 (GNT)

"In those days, and even later, there were giants on the earth who were descendants of human women and the heavenly beings. They were the great heroes and famous men of long ago. "

(GNT)"When the Lord saw how wicked everyone on earth was and how evil their thoughts were all the time,

(KJV)"And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. "

(NWT)"Consequently Jehovah saw that the badness of man was abundant in the earth and every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only bad all the time"

So Not only was there a sodomistic relation with the demons but the thoughts of everyone was only bad all the time. Because these Giant hybrid children had immoratal fathers they also where immortal. They would never die and thus the flood was needed to remove them. They had no right to even exist let alone their violent attitude.

Now lets add to this what Adam did. See he was given a home on earth. There where conditions on his residence. To not steal from one single tree in the whole wide world. One single tree! But NOOOO he takes what does not belong to him. Now he gets evicted from the garden. But the thing is he in reality is evicted and no longer even belongs on God's earth. WE do not belong here because we are NOT children of God. But we can be adopted back as one of his children if we follow the conditions met out to become one. They are not hard. We do not dictate what they are and we cannot arrogantly demand that OUR conditions be met. Because the price was very high and well beyond even a world wide collected human effort to ever achieve. Yet it was payed. So everyone who meets these conditions is allowed to be adopted as a child of God.

One other thing to add to this case.

See God allowed Adam to go ahead and see what he could do on his own. This is mainly due to one of the challenges Satan raised. Can man make it without God?

God will step in at a certain point. This is indicated at Matthew 24:22 "In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short."

Yes all of man's efforts are to our own demise. But not ours alone. ALL FLESH. animal and all life will be destroyed by us if God at the very last minute does not step in like he did in the days of the flood. If at that time he did not step in the earth would have been over with long ago. Thankfully he has given us a lot more time with his selective intervention.

And that is God, you like or not.

God is not defined by your standard, but you are defined by His. Sorry but that's how it works, the Creator define the creations.

And you know what, God won't hesitate to throw you into hell if you don't repent.

Humble yourself, repent and believe the forgiveness in Jesus Christ.

That brings up the old Euthyphro dilemma; is something good because it is done by God, or is it objectively good, and therefore God can do things that are wrong?

the whole world was evil, there was no one that would turn from their evil ways. only noah and his family was saved. how is it looking to you today in this world?

ahh....but they were not "innocent"....they were wicked and evil and refusing God...so He had to make the call...and He did...but He still loved humanity and saved a few to continue His plan...and His plan is a good one...its freedom with Christ...
