  • Any suggestions for good television series available on netflix?

I don't like medical dramas or cheesy sitcoms.

  • Does anyone believe in reincarnation?

I don't really, I'm pretty much a 'just science' kind of person, but I wish I could believe in it because it sounds so interesting and is fun to think about. Please share your thoughts/beliefs on it.

  • What to do about lying husband?

I just found out that my husband has been hiding a facebook account from me. That may not sound like a big deal but let me explain. We have been married for seven years and early in our marriage he lied to me about seeing his ex girlfriend. She tried to destroy our marriage. We live in a small town, everyone knows everyone. Therefore, my husband had agreed to not have a facebook account so as not to give her a chance to cause anymore drama. On his facebook, she is not a friend and he only has friends from out of town and outside the country on there, inc. his family in Mexico. I'm just upset that he lied. If he had talked to me about it and explained that it was just to talk to his family, I would not have gotten upset. He says it's just for his family, but he does have 'likes' on pictures of hot women and he has more pics of beer on there than he does of me. I feel so betrayed. He has very few pics of me on there but plenty of our kids, I only show up in a few with them. There are NONE of just me and he never mentions me on there at all. He has lied to me about many, many things over the years, not just the thing with the ex. I don't know what to do anymore, I feel that he is incapable of being real with me and that he just doesn't get it, doesn't respect me. He always apologizes and says he loves me but he lies SO MUCH. What can I do? He's a good dad to our 2 girls, and I am afraid they will have daddy issues and be messed up if I leave him. I do love him, but I feel I can never come out of this sadness. Please help.

  • Do you ever feel that people take advantage of your kindness?

I have this aquaintance who I decided to try and help because she is poor and has peripheral nerve damage, which causes her pain and discomfort. She is a college student and gets her college paid for because she grew up in foster care. She has no job, can't really work, and she doesn't drive. Her only family is her 2o yr old brother, she's 22. I used to give her rides home after class, and then once she asked me to lend her money for her medicine. I bought the medicine and told her not to worry about it. I have since bought her medicine and groceries several times. Then she started asking me for favors for her brother, like taking him to get fast food even though they supposedly didn't have any money, and taking him to the grocery store and the video game store. The last time I took him to the store I had to wait in the parking lot for 45 min for him to come out, I would text and she would say 'he's coming' but it took forever. Also, they ask me to take them one place, and then they want to go somewhere else and it ends up taking all day. Now they admit that they have money from taxes and they just moved into a really expensive apt complex that I couldn't even afford. The last few times she's asked me to take her somewhere I've told her that I was busy. I'm all favored out. Why do people take advantage like that? How can I help others without being taken advantage of?

  • When will christians stop complaining about atheists being on Y!A?

Most of your questions are about us and half are directed at us. You are on here too, so it makes you look super dumb to criticize us for being on here.

  • Christians, why do you cheerfully ignore the fact that the god of the bible?

did many horrible things. It says he flooded the entire world, killing all of the people on earth except for one family. Last time I checked, killing babies is pretty evil. How can you possibly say that killing babies is not evil. I do agree that abortion is wrong though I'm not a christian, but you worship a god that killed many babies, children, and innocent people.

  • Why do so many christians believe in the second coming?

Don't they know that John Nelson Darby developed this theory in the 1800s, and it did not exist before then? It does not clearly state in the Bible that this will happen, the idea comes from obscure passages that were likely not meant that way and were taken out of context. It is a crack-pot theory.

Christians, am I missing something here?

  • Have you ever seen the show "Toddlers and Tiaras"?

I find it disturbing and sick. It teaches little girls to judge themselves and others based on looks and to see other females as competition. Sure, the pageants have talent portions, but it's still mostly about looks, that's why it's called a 'beauty pageant' and not a 'talent show'.

How can anyone think this is okay?

  • Atheists and non-believers, would you participate?

I wish I could organize a day, one day a year, for us to all go to church services and leave behind pamphlets about the evils of religion, or maybe pamphlets with all of the violent, terrible bible verses that christians usually ignore printed on them. Or maybe free copies of The God Delusion. What do you think? Would you do this? I mean for it to be done peacefully and quietly.

  • Are there any closet atheists out there?

For those openly atheist, do you ever wish you had stayed in the closet? I have received a lot of crap since I started being honest about my lack of belief.

  • Is this funny or alarming? Can anyone relate?

I'm an atheist but I still occasionally go to church with my husband because he is a christian. It doesn't bother me though, I just zone out or text or whatever. In the church parking lot last Sunday I overheard a middle-aged woman with a heavy southern accent talking enthusiastically about something she had seen of Fox news. "How typical", I thought. These people are so brainwashed that they think Fox news is actually news.

  • How do I tell Christian friends that I am an Atheist?

I used to be a Christian but I am not anymore. I am secure and happy in my atheism but I worry that old Christian friends will no longer want to be around me. I know they won't, I know how they think because I used to be one of them. What should I say to them?

  • Parenting advice please?

My three-year-old daughter is terrible. She cries about everything and she doesn't listen. It is hard to get her to eat at mealtime even though I hardly ever give her junk food. It is hard to get her to go to bed at night. She still isn't potty trained yet and I have tried everthing. Every single little thing is a huge struggle with her. I feel so frustrated because I try really hard but she's never good. What can I do, because her behavior is so terrible and I don't understand why. She is healthy and seems to be intelligent. Please give me some realistic and practical advice.
