I used to use aloe vera until i learned that the gel keeps the heat in your skin. Cocoa butter is good for sunburns, but it really depends on what you prefer. Some people love aloe, others think cocoa butter helps! I prefer cocoa butter on my skin, it feels better to me. Whenever I use it, it turns my sunburn into a tan after two or three days. It might also feel nice to put a watered down rag/ paper towel in the refrigerator and put it on the burnt areas once it's cool, i like to do that but it's not a treatment. Your skin will peel when it's ready... I normally peal after a few days of sunburning when i don't use aloe/ cocoa butter. I hope this helped, and feel better. It will eventually go away it just takes time :(

Be sure to use sunscreen next time!

This has happened to me and my family members from time to time. I trust in using an aloe vera gel, in between cool soaks in the tub. The aloe really helps by soaking into the skin.

  • Aloe vera gel works great!! it is availiable at walgreens or any drug store. You cant put to much on, but make sure to not rub it in too much or else it will sting. Also, wear loose clothing so nothing rubs or irritates it.

    :)
